November 6, and the clock is ticking when we have exactly 1 month and 2 days to go to get the Christmas Luncheon specially cater for the underprivileged families who will be celebrating Christmas for the very first time.
In 2017, we managed to gear up enough volunteers (mainly from the Glad Tidings AOG church members) to help us to make this event possible.

We had from traffic control, kids ministry, food preparation, second hand clothing distribution, food distribution, ushering and media entertainment; just to give a memorable experience for many who may never get a chance to encounter in their lifetime.
The preparation took us 2 full days to get it done, from lighting to stage decorations, and most of the Food Bank volunteers laboured tirelessly right after their work, right into the night.

Moreover, goodie bags with essential items donated by the church members and the public were prepared by volunteers of young and old, just so that the families have something to bring home after a warm meal.

We have loads of fun preparing for the kids too, and #teammalaysia members and her girls came to help packing children's gifts; thanks to
invitation.
And that was only for 500 families an 200 children.
This year, we are going full scale

Because of last year's wonderful experience and was well received by the underprivileged families, there were a lot of wonderful feedback and the anticipation by the families has heightened, and through prayers and discussion, the Food Bank and Glad Tidings Petaling Jaya group have come to an agreement to hold this years luncheon...
For 500 families and 1,000 children.
This does looks a little like a Mission Impossible task... but we do have an Almighty God...
He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move and nothing will be impossible for you.”
~ Matthew 17:20 ESV
And so, we take a deep breath, we pray, and we move forward, hoping with His love for the people treated like outcasts, His blessings will gear up all who has the heart of love to come together, no matter how big or how small their task is, will be able to make this mission - POSSIBLE
Either we go bigger, or we go home.
So what we need for 1,000 children this year:
Last year we gave a lot of exercise books, but then we also realised that those could not be fully utilised because each school has their own logo on it, hence this year we have decided to bless them something fun and useful.
And what we need for 500 families:
will later check on the price list on how much each item will cost per family bag and we will update it later, but right now as we race against time to gear up for as many families to bless them, monetary is still important to fulfill the bills for catering services; not to mention prayers for a wonderful clear day for travelling as many of these familes will be travelling out from inland and coastal villages.
That is all from here for now, and we will do our best to keep everyone updated as often as we can as we will be very busy getting all decorations up in time.
We would once again like to thank ,
