Concerning The issue of popular worldview and social beliefs that has blinded most people in our contemporary world is one that has influenced the society to negatively believe that this laid down laws should guide people's lives.
Based on the prompt by they are @ladiesofHive community contest, it states that we should discuss the popular world views that has negative influence on our Society today. There are many beliefs in our Society that affects both men and women no matter your status and these beliefs has negative effects on people's lifestyle to The Essence that is brings about pressure.
Some of these beliefs are that a man should have enough money before the age of 30, that a woman should get married in her 20s because it is believed that when she is over 30 she is referred to as old cargo.
In other words, one of the social beliefs that I can bodily relate to because i have experienced it over time especially with women is the fact that a woman's worth or success is tied to her being married to a particular man at a particular age. In many societies in my country it is believed that a woman should get married at a particular time or else people or the society will begin to pressure her and see her as incomplete if she's not married with children.
Overtime this mindset has led women to partake in marriages or unhealthy relationships born out of the fear that if they do not succumb to society laws or beliefs they might become an instrument of shame to their generation.
From what we see on the internet, many women who have subjected themselves to the pressure from Society to get married at particular age are speaking up about the difficulties and violence involved in these marriages because these men exploit their desperation and turn it to something that they can use against them.
Nobody is saying that marriage is not important or building a family is not a good thing but applying a deadline to a person's life achievements is deadly. As we all know, for people to attain a healthy marriage they have to consider certain things which includes compatibility, maturity, good character, mentally stability, financially okay and so many more. But the rush and pressure has made many settle for less.
In other words, to protect the younger generation of women around me i would advise that being a woman is a virtue that is priceless, hence younger women you adopt the mindset of not tying their achievements to being married.
With the situation of things in our country it is advisable that women should build themselves to a particular stage that allows them to be independent emotionally, spiritually, financially and mentally for themselves as this would eradicate the feeling of desperation and manipulation from the other gender.
In conclusion, women should embody boldness and brevity in everything they do because that will build a stronger mental space to avoid pressure from their peers or the society at large.
