Bitcoin Pizza Day: Road to the anniversary of Hive Yucatán / Bitcoin Pizza Day Rumbo al aniversario de Hive Yucatán. ENG/SPA Information #2

Hello, community! Today’s post is about the progress we’ve made regarding the event we’ve scheduled for the second half of 2026. For that reason, the team has reached out to various people we’ve connected with at past events in the area, as well as some from outside the area whom we met at the 2024 and 2025 editions of Talent Land. That past networking has really been very helpful.

All of this led me to a friend named Alex Palomo, who has been organizing technology-focused events for quite some time. In one of the conversations I had with him, I told him about the idea of hosting a celebration for the Hive Yucatán community, so a few days later he invited me to participate in Bitcoin Pizza Day. Together with a woman named Mariangel Blanco, they managed to secure the event so they could handle the organization—that was great because it gives us the opportunity to be part of the event.

As I mentioned earlier, on this road to Hive Yucatán’s anniversary, some community members are voluntarily donating a small percentage of their post rewards to this account Hive account@hiveyucatan, for which I am infinitely grateful to everyone.

On the other hand, I won a prize for participating in an initiative by Hive account@hivecreators-es and received 666 $HIVE, which has helped cover transportation costs for several project-related meetings, as well as some stickers celebrating World Pizza Day that are set to be delivered soon.

Saludos comunidad la publicación de hoy corresponde a los avances que sa han dado en cuanto a la celebración que tenemos programada para el segundo semestre del 2026, por esa razón el equipo se ha puesto en contacto con diferentes personas con las cuales ya habíamos tenido conexión en eventos anteriores de la zona y algunos fuera de la zona que hemos conocido en Talent Land edición 2024 y 2025, de verdad que ha servido de mucho ese networking del pasado.

Todo esto me llevó a un amigo llamado Alex Palomo que ya tiene tiempo haciendo u organizando eventos sobre todo de tecnología. En una de las charlas que tuve con el, le platiqué la idea de hacer una celebración para la comunidad Hive Yucatán así que a los pocos días me invitó a participar en el Bitcoin Pizza Day impulsado por Pizza DAO que junto con una chica de nombre Mariangel Blanco lograron bajar dicho evento, para ellos tener la organización, eso fue genial pues nos dio oportunidad de integrarnos al evento.

Como mencioné anteriormente, en este Road al aniversario de Hive Yucatán, hay algunos miembros de la comunidad que voluntariamente están donando a esta cuenta Hive account@hiveyucatan un pequeño % de sus recompensas de sus publicaciones, lo cual agradezco infinitamente a tod@s, pero además de eso nos estamos valiendo de alianzas y colaboraciones para poder llegar mas lejos y poder realizar la meta final que es nuestro cumpleaños como comunidad, si tu tienes algún proyecto en Hive que te gustaría promover en próximos eventos de la zona estas invitado a contactarnos seguro llegaremos a algún acuerdo.

Por otro lado yo gané un premio por participar en una iniciativa de Hive account@hivecreators-es y recibí 666 $HIVE y eso me ha servido para transporte a varias citas relacionadas con el proyecto mas algunos stickers alusivos al día mundial de la pizza que están en proceso de ser entregados próximamente.

We’ve attended several Bitcoin Pizza Days in previous years, and this is where our involvement will be most noticeable, as we will be using three apps developed by the team of co-founders and creators of Dapps, Hive account@starkerz and Hive account@theycallmedan. These apps are Hive account@hivedebit Hive account@distriator and Hive account@checkinwith.xyz, which will help us recreate the epic moment celebrated on May 22: making a crypto transaction to buy pizza in exchange.

It will be epic because, at least in the city of Mérida, Yucatán, there are already places that accept crypto like BTC or ETH, but until now we hadn’t managed to get any business to accept HBD or Hive, and this event opens the door to that possibility.

Also, at that event, I’ll be speaking for the first time, which, to be honest, has me a little nervous, even though I try not to think about it. But it is nerve-wracking because it looks like the event will have an attendance of over 100 people if everything goes well.

I also want to mention that I’m currently in the testing phase for both Distriator and Checkingwith, hoping that on May 22 we won’t have any glitches—or at least as few as possible.

Hemos asistido a varios Bitcoin Pizza Day en años anteriores y en este es donde nuestra participación será mas notoria, pues usaremos tres aplicaciones que vienen del equipo de cofundadores y creadores de Dapps Hive account@starkerz y Hive account@theycallmedan estas aplicaciones serán Hive account@hivedebit Hive account@distriator y Hive account@checkinwith.xyz las cuales nos servirán para replicar el gran épico momento que se celebra en el día mayo 22 que es hacer una transacción con Crypto para adquirir Pizza a cambio.

Será épico pues por lo menos en la ciudad de Mérida Yucatán ya hay lugares que acepten crypto como BTC o ETH pero hasta ahora no habíamos logrado que algún negocio acepte HBD o Hive y este evento abre la puerta a esa posibilidad.

También en ese evento por primera vez seré speaker lo cual para ser sincero me tiene un poco nervioso aunque trato de no pensar en ello, pero si da nervios pues al parecer el evento tendrá un aforo de mas de 100 personas si todo sale bien.

También quiero comentarles que me encuentro haciendo una fase de pruebas tanto en Distriator como en Checkingwith esperando que el día 22 de Mayo no tengamos fallas o que sean las mínimas posibles.
