So, I left the house for the first time in about a year on a Thursday night. covered for my regular @SplinterlandsTV stream so that I could go "meet a fan", and long time friend of memes,
.
It has been such a long time since I've been to a meet up, that the venue has changed. Currently, as of 2023, the invitation is open to everyone - Last Thursday of each Month, after 6PM, at the Duke of Brunswick Hotel on Gilbert Street, in Adelaide.
It was excellent to catch up with regular people like and
, but the nature of these meet ups is such that when they're successful - there's too many people present and you don't get to catch up with everyone property.
spoke to me about the joys of stacking HIVE, and I spoke to
just like I was, if I had been on Splinterlands TV.
I did everything to try and convince some swing votes in the DAO with the illustrious in attendance, but I don't think I was convincing enough.
Now, I'm somewhat in a crossroads. Recently did an illustration and story about how observant I am. She used a particular image of me to do this.
I rock up to the pub for the meet up, and I'm confronted with a gift. A gift that I though to be implausible.
Congratulations if you saw this in the first image. This made me not only laugh, but also be ashamed, terrified, and sort of perplexed as to why someone would do this to me.
But mostly, I was speechless.
This is the sort of stuff that shows how deep the Splinterlands community runs, and how we can all be "one with each other", even if we're not always one with the DAO.
Tell me about your Splinterlands meet ups. It's much better than hanging around in discord or on the chat for Splinterlands TV.
