Its week 37 (16/09/23) of my savings focus for 2023 with the Saturday Savers Club which I think is a great Hive community initiative run by 
My focus for the rest of the year is:
- My annual HP target of 10K HP,
- HBD:HIVE trading,
- Delegating HP to a number of good community curation accounts.

Weekly commentary
- I've made a few more changes this week. For a start, I've stolen an idea from
, and will now start my saturday savers club posts with a picture, as opposed to my boring excel table ! Thanks
- I gained +216 HP this week, which I'm very happy about. I had a few nice post payouts, and then the low price of HIVE really helped on top with that. I note that it has started to creep back up now, however at $0.30, where its at now, its still a great price, and great if you are in HIVE accumulation mode like me !,
- I managed to break the 8K HP mark this week, which is pretty awesome. My HP total is now 8002 HP. This time last year I had 1880, so have gained 6122 in the year,
- I need a further 1998 HP to hit my 10K target, which at 15 weeks to go requires 132 HP per week (down 5 per week !!). My year end target now feels achievable, although I dont want to get to cocky - 132 HP per week is still a lot of work,
- I added another 161 HP to my delegation to
and achieved my target of having 2k HP delegated. I'm really happy with that. I started working on this target back in April, increasing the delegation every week slowly over time as I didnt want to ruin my upvote value at the same time. 5 months later and the target is achieved. The reason for doing this was to get a nice passive weekly income in EDS, which helps towards my EDS target,
- I gained +3 EDS this week. Even with my increased delegation to
- I gained +1.276 DAB this week, but dropped by 68 for DBOND. I was guilty of joining in on this weeks crazy DBOND selling activity, and some good prices (above 1 HIVE), knowing that the second batch sale of DBOND is planned for tomorrow (17th Sept) at 1 HIVE per DBOND. So the aim is to buy as much as I can there at the lower price, hence gaining more - but I'm making a big assumption that they will put enough of it on sale, noting that a ton of people have already put in buy orders for it (there are 10K worth of buy orders sitting on hive-engine, as I write this). So hopefully I'll post a nice DBOND increase next week,
- HBD:HIVE trading - I had zero trades this week, as there was nothing really in my price range with the price of HIVE being so low,
- I put a nice delegation into
this week, which is the account behind the new PWR token. Its a really nice project in a similar vein to some of the other SPinvest tokens which I really like. I was keen to be an early adopter. You can gain it be delating HP to the noted account, and through a PWR:SWAP.HIVE liquidity pool. Since delegating, I've been gaining nice PWR drips daily, which I have then added to the pool, which is paying out 15% APR. So its pretty interesting so far, and I'm keen to see how it develops over time. You can find out more about it here.
My New Community HP Delegation Project
- Now that my HP delegation target for
- I have identified a number of accounts I want to support and I will do it in two phases to start with,
- In phase 1, I will be delegating to each account in turn until I can get that delegation to 100 HP to each account - doing that across 10 or so accounts,
- In phase 2, I then aim to increase that delegation to 250 HP across each of the accounts,
- I want to do all of that without wiping out my upvote value, so will do it a bit at a time each week (20% of my HP gain in the week will be delegated - that way my undelegated HP also grows, and hence so does my upvote value) ,
- I had already started, and already have 100 HP delegated to
- so thats one down !,
- The next account I will support will be
- so that will be my HP delegation target for the coming weeks. I post a lot of travel related content primarily to the pinmapple community, so it only feels right to support it back in turn,
- I'm really looking forward to this project !
Plan for the coming week
- To continue to make sure I post daily to ensure daily HBD and HIVE author rewards,
- To be active in HIVE Blog curation to help with HIVE curation rewards,
- To continue to increase undelegated HIVE in order to improve HIVE curation rewards,
- HBD:HIVE Trading - The price is currently too low for my trading range, so am unlikely to see much trading in the coming weeks - although its starting to creep up again,
- This weeks delegation of 20% of my weekly HP income (43 HP) will be going to
- With the next batch sale of DBOND coming up tomorrow (17th of September), I'll be looking to see what I can scrape together in order to buy more DBOND in that. I'll be giving a minor haircut to some other tokens and income streams that I have to help with that. It wont be a huge buy, in the grand scheme, but it will be good for my DBOND holdings - assuming there will be enough released in the batch sale for me to buy-in,
- I will be selling HBD payouts from posts for HIVE in order to power up more towards my annual HP target, especially while the price of HIVE is so low - its making quite a difference to that target at the moment.
In summary, its been a great week. I was very happy to just scrape past the 8k HP mark, which makes my 10K goal at least seem achievable. I was also very happy to complete my
