It was a Friday evening, we had plans prior to that evening. It was our last house fellowship together after our exams and we wanted to make it fun and memorable. We picked a location at one of our brother’s houses and he was delighted to host us. It was going to be a game evening and my second experience as well. I was a bit nervous about how it’s going to go because I was part of those to do a little bit of organizing.
That day, I remember it rained. I was worried that would spoil plans for us but it didn’t. We started an hour before the usual time so we can spend more time together. I wasn’t able to make it for the games earlier because I had to get some things on my way as refreshments. Well, I didn’t completely miss the fun! I watched some of the games they played and I took pictures of them.
Of course those playing chess looked serious than the others. I would have loved to play too but it was already too late. And also they played with a timer and I don’t think I’m that good yet. But over all, it was a fun game. According to the timer, the guy on the image won but his opponent had upper hand if the moves weren’t based on time.
Others played Luda game, monopoly and whot games while others just watched, myself included. After everyone was done with playing their games, we stopped that particular game section and moved to another kind of games.
We played some music related games when we have to sustain a note. The person that holds the note the longest wins. We were grouped into two, the boys and the girls. Well, in the end the boys won, hehe. It was funny though.
After that, we played another interesting game. When we tested our Knowledge of characters in the Bible and how fast we could recall the names. We did characters for the Old Testament, characters for the New Testament, male characters, female characters and even some specific group character names. I was fortunate to get to the top 2, hehe. It made me really happy but seeing who I was paired with, I felt defeated even before looking for the best, lol. And the last person won.
After playing that game, we shared some snacks around and zobo drink too. For those that don’t know, zobo drink is made from dried hibiscus flower. It is really nutritional and recommended as long as it is made with other natural ingredients and spices. That zobo tasted really nice.
Time was already spent way more than we planned at that time but we still decided to just stay for some extra minutes before closing. We helped the host clean his place so he won’t have to do it all by himself when we are gone. And after that, we sang together and said our closing prayer.
We all walked out together until we got to where some diverted to their hostels. It was all fun and memorable. That hangout made us bond more with each other and it was just all beautiful.
Ever hand an hangout with people you always vibe with before? How did it go for you? I’d love to hear your experience.
Thank you for reading through. ❤️
