Hive has been more than a home to me (I know it has also been so for others as well) but today I'd love to focus more on some interesting ways hive has been for all of us. I remember how almost jobless I was thinking that hive wasn't a place for me because I wasn't much of a writer but I loved reading because that way I can learn more and better. I thought hive was just a place for writers so I was not interested in being a part of it at all back then.
It's already two years and counting on the blockchain and if one is not careful they might think I've been here for a very long time. My attachment to the blockchain is something that I least expected at that time when I decided to join Hive. Back then I needed something that could fetch me little income but when I heard it was not guaranteed to get the income that I needed here on Hive, I almost thought of not joining hive but then after seeing how well my sister kept improving at writing, I had a change of mind.
The way hive welcomes every user depends on that user. Most times, as a newbie trying to start your journey on Hive, you are bound to face some difficulties but then you must be willing to keep forging ahead or else you might see yourself pulling backwards in how much you want to give back to the platform. Hive is a place that so many people out there will willing pay something huge to be a part of if they find out just half of it's benefits but sadly, not everyone that is here value it as such.
While I was going through my X Space today, I came across a beautiful and daring post by Theycallmedan where he affirmed his dedication to Web3 with hive in view. The fact that Hive keeps dipping has made so many people panic and even loose hope in hive that they just keep powering down the little they have and wait for every little opportunity to get it all out. I've received some really interesting advise to power down my Hive because they think it's a waste saving that much here on hive even when I know that my stake is nothing compared to so many other users.
It's so obvious that they have little or no faith at all in hive and they are scared of losing anything at all even when they hardly even gave anything to the blockchain. Hive has given me a name that can't be own by anyone else and also a place where I'm always welcomed whenever! I can't even start to mention all the amazing people I've met thanks to hive and how much debt I've been able to pay off.
My family is not rich but hive has given us an opportunity to change our family's situation for the better. One thing so many people don't know is that, hive is here to stay, it's not going anywhere, if there is anyone going anywhere it's you and not the hive blockchain. Unlike some other web3 platforms, hive is not owned by any one and it's not even possible for it to be sold out to the highest bidder or something so I just wonder why people are so scared to just support hive and make it grow even bigger.
It's fine if you don't invest solely on hive in fact that's what I'd advise everyone to do because that way you can support hive even more but then if you find it hard to support Hive because you are scared that Hive might go on exile or something, then you shouldn't be worried at all because that is never going to happen. You are always going to own your blog and that's one beautiful thing about having so many witnesses and proposals on hive. All the more reason why you need to always support those proposals that you know are doing well.
Like I said when I started this post, Hive has been a beautiful place for me and the least I can do to show my appreciation even though it's not enough, is by supporting the blockchain in every way possible and also keep telling others about an amazing platform like Hive. I can't get tired of talking about what an amazing place hive is because I know that there are some that will willingly pay so much to be on a platform like Hive.
