These are the things I learnt from the teaching:
Our obligation is to pray for our brethren, if we love our brethren we should love and forgive them. Love coveres much sin.
1 Peter 4:8
[8]And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Psalms 32:6
[6]For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
It is God's delight that man is living in happiness.
We should have a pure heart and a pure tongue.
Matthew 5:8
[8]Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
The prayer of a righteous man is greatly effective. We should not pray repitatively, our prayers are God's delight.
Lamentations 3:33
[33]For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.
God does not afflict us willingly nor grieve His children. Before we pray God is listening.
Isaiah 65:24
[24]And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
Daniel 9:18-22
[18]O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
[19]O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
[20]And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;
[21]Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
[22]And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.
We should also pray for a person who sinned against you, our duty is to pray for our brethren and not reject them.
We should forgive our fellow believers if they sin against us, we should confess our sin to God and not to a priest.
2 Chronicles 7:14
[14]If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
James 5:17
[17]Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
We should be contented with what we have and pray to God always.
Hebrews 13:5
[5]Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
There are sin that can lead to death and sin that do not lead to death
The church of God face the east when they are in the gathering to avoid distraction.
Ezekiel 43:2
[2]And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.
