While I was doing an article on the other site, my mother suddenly called me since she was inviting me to visit our relative's grave despite our town's unpredictable weather. I called it unpredictable since the climate here might shine or rain, just like his/her mixed signal. Sorry for the cheesy and corny joke. Anyway, without further ado, let's get started.
After she invited me to visit our relatives who are already living in peace, I admit I didn't prepare much. The shirt I wore in this photo was already five years ago. Meanwhile, I just replaced my old shorts with my jogging pants, which I wear every time I go to the university. Did you see my bloated body? My insecurity and eagerness to lose weight are why I'm committed to my fitness goals.
My other loved ones also joined us in the memorial park since most of them are Roman Catholics. I just come along with them for respect, but it's not stated in our beliefs and faith. They told us they ran out of chairs as they only brought two. Therefore, we didn't think twice about getting our seats which you can see in the image.
After we had guaranteed that we had brought the things we needed, we decided to ride it using our tricycle, although it was just a walking distance. The streets are a little crowded since the authorities are manually checking the vehicles to ensure that this All Saint's Day will fall safely and peacefully. We took around five minutes while wait, and I thought we would not be able to park because of the influx of residents.
As you see in the photo, this is what we faced while we were on the path to my grandfather's burial, along with my relatives living in peace. The distance is like 100m apart, but the flock of visitors makes our walk slower. I think it will be more congested if we visit them on November 2.
Of course, would we forget about the existence of group photos? The shots are not mine, but my aunt ordered us to take images together for remembrance. Can you guess where I am? Only a few of us attended since our other relatives had just finished visiting them in the morning while we went around in the afternoon. My other cousin and my sibling didn't participate since they thought going with us was boring. It's been a long time since they died, but I'm still amazed that they're willing to acquire time to remember them. We visit them sometimes, even if it's not November 1 if I want to.
Nothing seems new since they exchange endless random thoughts that they have already not discussed. I feel like I'm an outcast because most of their conversation used Ilocano as a medium I could barely understand. I was so bored that I decided to start my afternoon walk. Sorry by the way, for being talkative, haha.
I'm bored in their league, so I opted to walk around the park where the coffins are chilling underneath. There have some parts that are muddy because of the continuous rain. I don't know why I feel a little chill whenever I think a body is buried in the ground where I step. Does it sound scary? Unlike other cemeteries, you will not see any cemetery slums.
You can also see some tents where some of the visitors stay. For me, it is one of the best places to visit to see the full view of the park.
And also, it's my second time seeing this establishment. I'm curious if this is a hotel for visitors or privately owned. What do you think?
You will also see two laned paths where you can park your vehicles and walk freely, but be aware that some cyclists like to ride here. I loved the view while walking since the floor was clean, without any traces of dried leaves. The streetlight will enhance its beauty if its light improves in the dark. We haven't yet done visiting this park at night, and I will never dare because I hate to think of something scary.
A few minutes after the short walk, I returned to our place again since the sky was getting showery. Good thing that it didn't continue to rain hard as the sun finally shone. I wanted to try the sun-kissed vibe, but I realized that it is not fit my appearance. I'm glad they noticed my skin color since I became lighter than in my high school days.
I was bored again, so I had no choice but to go back to walking. I regretted joining them because I didn't have a close relative to that I could talk. Even though we had just stayed for about an hour, I was already asking my mom to go home.
Here is the view you can see if you will enter the cemetery. As you see, the authorities are busy doing their job. Their decent service leads to heavy traffic, but I understand them because they perform what they need to do. You can also see standby health professionals and other parts of the government to ensure that everyone will be assured to receive the proper treatment in case of emergency.
This is one of the closest looks of the people staying in their tent while conversing with their loved ones. The tents you see are all from them, I think. I mean, they didn't borrow it from government officials,
Another parking lot again, haha. It's already understandable why there are many vehicles around the corner because of the crowd. There also have some small business owners selling food. I'm happy that they are not banned there.
I went sideways to take this remarkable place. This is where I last saw my deceased uncle in the coffin a month ago. It is still unforgettable when we can't hold our tears while we see the bereaved family crying in sorrow and grief before he is buried in his grave. They ordered my younger brother to take a Facebook live, and we felt lonely while watching the scene.
Let's keep this a secret. I am almost lost since I can't find the exact scene where they stay. I looked a little crazy while looking at them, and my cousin thought I was staring at the tombs to see my co-birthday. Good thing that I found them even though I almost seem insane.
We're almost going to the end of the walk. Since I already sensed that I needed to eat food, I asked my mom to lend me some money to buy street food. I bought them for ₱40.00, and I thought my mother would like them. I'm still regretting that I bought a lot which I thought she would like.
Before we end this blog, can I have your minute to appreciate this aesthetic view? The vibe of this shot gives me a nostalgic and 80s vibe. Sorry for being exaggerated, haha. I hope you enjoyed reading it. See you soon.
