Companion
When the word companion is spoken, what comes to mind is a friend, an acquaintance, or partner; a person with whom one spends time or keeps company. For a military personnel, his companion could be his comrade in battle. For an animal lover, it's his pet. For couples, they have each other as companion. For a tourist, his companion is his tour guide. For a writer, it's words. For a singer, it's the voice. For some, it's solitude. Everyone has a companion be it a person, animal, hobby or thing as long as you spend most of your time on it or with them. Even death is seen as our constant companion, and it is death that gives each person's life its true meaning.
When someone is your companion, you find it difficult to live a day without them around you, your memories with them keep playing like a movie in your head, their voices, you're always fond of them, the sweetness and mind blowing experience you shared.
A companion is someone you can trust to have your back at all time, has your best interest at heart and the pluck to tell you what you need to hear. Also, a companion is always a loyal buddy. But what can be done, the world is turning into another thing entirely, true friends, companion, soulmate are getting rare to find. People you call or see as companion turn out to be your enemy. We now live in a world where the most seldom thing to find is companion\ true friend. Friendship or companion is becoming things of the past, people live to impress one another instead of loving one another. Friends nowaday enjoy to suffer one another rather than enjoying something or suffering something together as companions. Most of them come off as true companion but they are really what we call wolf in sheep clothing.
Advice "In terms of marriage: prefer the person before money, virtue before beauty, the mind before the body; then thou hast a wife/husband, a friend, a companion, a second self." _William Pennit. Doing otherwise can lead to fight between partners or divorce.
And if you cannot find a good companion to walk with, walk alone, like an elephant roaming the jungle. It is better to be alone than to be with those who will hinder your progress.
Still on still, no one like to be alone, everyone wants someone to look out for them, someone who checks on them from time to time, someone who is concerned whether they had eaten or not, someone who eagerly awaits their return after a long day at work, someone who praise them for every little progress, while some don't need praises all they want is a little reprove from a true companion. But a true companion is rare to find in this new age. So if you find yourself a person who has all or most of the qualities of a true companion mentioned so far, keep him/her very close to your heart and cherish them because you have yourself an angel; a rare gem.
Above all, GOD is the best companion anyone can have because HE never change and HE is ever faithful.
