I was out for some short walks towards earlier today. We could not go to Sunday mass for the good hubby was down with a fever. And because I was feeling stuffy for staying mostly indoors during the last few days, I decided to go out. The cool morning kind of invited me to give my legs some stretching exercise. Had to choose between trekking up to the woods or a stroll along the farms. It rained yesterday night so I opted for the easy walk knowing that the trails would be wet and some parts are even muddy.
Along the way, I saw a new wheelbarrow lying face down on the edge of a wee farm. It is obviously not difficult to see because of its bright color.
Walking farther away, I felt the need to rest a while and it was when I noticed some bright-colored fungi along the farm wall.
A few yards from there, I found some more. Don't really what they are called but they are pretty cute, aren't they? I'm quite sure they are not edible. But even if they are, I would not be picking them.
After taking some photos, I proceeded further. Found and enjoyed the sight of a small waterfall which wasn't there before. The incessant rain in the previous week seems to have naturally created it. Was kind of therapeutic watching the water drop from above onto the rocks below.
I went on with my walk and found myself getting amazed by the potatoes that were spread on a small open field. The owner might want them to mature sooner. Not sure though.
I came back home to check on the husband and to do some stuff online. Our electricity is yet to be restored so we can only charge our phones in the car. There was no other way. We are thinking about purchasing a generator in case it will really take weeks or months for the power plant to be repaired, but we shall see. I'm not so keen on having such a roaring machine anywhere near the house. The noise will drive me nuts, lol!
Meanwhile, the rain came and is now pouring outside. Guess it's time for me to get some snooze too.
Happy weekend!
Photos are my own. 23:20ph
