Half the day was lovely with plenty of sunshine, so we had a nice drive to the other town after my morning therapy. While we initially planned to attend the wake, we ended up at my father-in-law's place for some pressing matters. We stayed there for an hour before we left for the bank, to the farm store, and my sister's workplace for some stuff.
On our way home, we stopped by a nice spot by the roadside under the tall pine trees, where we could enjoy our cone ice cream (locally generalized as drumstick), which the hubby bought as our little treat when he picked up our groceries.
But first, we had a wee pictorial, lol! The LilGuy on his Dada's shoulders. How about that for a change?π He looked cool or chill in the photos, but his legs were shaking (trembling).
It's quite funny that he is afraid of heights or sloped areas. He quickly moves backwards whenever he senses we are near the edge. I was reminded of what he did when we climbed up the view deck last week, where he crawled away from the railings (I may share the video clip next time, it needs some editing).
Anyway, he took his Dada's lap and enjoyed the view for a little while, sticking his tongue out. Hot huh?
Then it was time for us to savor our ice creams from Dan Eric before they melted. Rocky Road was divine as ever. I love the nuts, the marshmallows, and bits of chocolates.
And so I've wasted none of it and consumed (licked and nibbled on) everything to the tip of the cone, lol! Cravings satisfied, thank you.π
Then more photo taking. Point and shoot, mostly. Where there are pine trees, so are (fallen) pine cones and pine needles.
Upcycling is quite common in the region, and I like how they used the tires as plant beds, decorative barriers, etc. And how cheerful the colors are!
We were to leave when the hubby queried, "Don't you want to snap some shadows?" pointing at the car's windows. "Shadows or reflections?" I was confused for a moment. "Reflections, I mean," he corrected himself.
Why not? So clicked, clicked, clicked. They will be for another day (to be shared in one of my favorite communities). Besides, this post already has 15 photos. So, yep, next timeπ
Well... That little pause on the roadside was enough to bank some more memories.
Thank you and have a FUNtastic Friday wherever you are!
