Dopo non mesi, bensì anni di attesa, finalmente, ieri sera mi è arrivata la mail con il codice di invito per iniziare ad usare Voice. Non mi dilungo a spiegare cosa sia Voice e chi l'ha creato e non so veramente spiegare come mai abbiano impiegato un tempo così enorme per sviluppare una app per cellulare nemmeno troppo sofisticata. Cerco solo di farvi vedere come appare e come mi è sembrato al primo giretto dentro l'applicazione. Partiamo dal primo fatto, si tratta di un'app per cellulari, una volta ricevuto il codice di invito occorre scaricare l'app e lanciarla, vi verranno chieste alcune informazioni, nome e cognome reale e una quantità tutto sommato limitata di info. Dovrete poi certificarvi tramite una immagine della vostra faccia e vi verrà assegnata una password, simile ad una delle molte a cui siamo abituati su Steemit/Hive/Blurt, una serie di caratteri generati a caso. Come per i suddetti occorre salvarsela perché non è recuperabile. Fin da subito Voice mette in chiaro che una persona/un account. Quindi no doppi account, no privacy, no anonimato, no bot, no self-voting, quindi siamo lontani e parecchio dal modello Steemit/Hive/Blurt.

After not months, but years of waiting, finally, last night I received the email with the invitation code to start using Voice. I just try to show you how it looks and how it seemed to me at the first spin inside the application. Let's start from the first fact, it is a mobile app, once you have received the invitation code you need to download the app and launch it, you will be asked for some information, real name and surname and a limited amount of info. You will then have to certify yourself with an image of your face and you will be assigned a password, similar to one of the many we are used to on Steemit/Hive/Blurt, a series of randomly generated characters. As for the aforementioned, it must be saved because it is not recoverable. Voice immediately makes it clear that a person/an account. So no double accounts, no privacy, no anonymity, no bots, no self-voting, so we are a long way from the Steemit/Hive/Blurt model.

Si tratta di una app piuttosto minimale sostanzialmente più simile a twitter che ad un vero e proprio blog. Certamente non ci sono limitazioni stringenti sulla dimensione dei post, ma scorrendo tra i contenuti ho visto ben pochi post che superano i 2 minuti di lettura, quindi che sia una cosa voluta o un risultato ottenuto per via della modalità app, sostazialmente viene usata più per fare mini-blogging che post veri e propri.

It is a rather minimal app substantially more similar to twitter than to a real blog. Certainly there are no stringent limitations on the size of posts, but scrolling through the contents I have seen very few posts that exceed 2 minutes of reading, so whether it is a desired thing or a result obtained via the app mode, substantially it is used more for do mini-blogging than actual posts.

Le opzioni disponibile dal menù sono veramente poche, tra queste c'è una sezione notification e poco altro. I post possono essere visualizzati secondo alcuni criteri, i più recenti, i più votati, insomma più o meno sempre le solite cose.
