Los niños siempre fantasean con su profesión de grandes, o buscan seguir esa huella que nos dejan, a veces sin quererlo, nuestros adultos. De niños queremos ser médicos, profesores, músicos, abogados, choferes… o ingenieros como mi padres. Yo soy Indira, y siempre quise estudiar turismo.
Con 10 años no tenía total claridad de qué iba esa carrera, pero sabía que me gustaban los viajes, hablar con gente radiante de felicidad, conocer nuevos lugares, dejar guardada en una foto un momento de diversión y risas.
Children always fantasize about their profession when they grow up, or seek to follow that footprint that our adults leave us, sometimes unintentionally. As children we want to be doctors, teachers, musicians, lawyers, drivers... or engineers like my parents. I am Indira, and I always wanted to study tourism.
When I was 10 years old I didn't have a clear idea of what that career was all about, but I knew that I liked traveling, talking to people beaming with happiness, seeing new places, saving a moment of fun and laughter in a photo.
Y así fue, en julio de 2014 me gradué como Licenciada en Turismo en la Universidad de Ciego de Ávila, profesión que ejerzo hasta hoy, día en donde llena de entusiasmo hago mi presentación para formar parte de esta gran comunidad que es Hive.
Mi nombre completo es Indira Porte Nash, y vivo en la capital de Cuba: La Habana. A pesar de que esta no es mi ciudad natal disfruto mucho el misticismo de esta gran urbe y la forma- mucho más agitada- de vida aquí.
Yo nací en Camagüey, una de las primeras siete villas fundadas en el país; llena de historias, leyendas, un entramado arquitectónico interesante y muy bien conservado; y que posee además un centro histórico declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO desde el año 2008.
And so it was, in July 2014 I graduated with a degree in Tourism at the University of Ciego de Avila, a profession I practice until today, day where full of enthusiasm I make my presentation to be part of this great community that is Hive.
My full name is Indira Porte Nash, and I live in the capital of Cuba: Havana. Although this is not my hometown, I really enjoy the mysticism of this great city and the much more hectic way of life here.
I was born in Camagüey, one of the first seven villages founded in the country; full of stories, legends, an interesting and very well preserved architectural framework; and which also has a historic center declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 2008.
Lo que más amo de mi vida es mi familia, somos muy unidos y nos apoyamos de forma incondicional (realmente considero que soy muy afortunada por el grupito que me tocó). También disfruto pasar tiempo con mis amigos: los míos son chicos muy creativos en la búsqueda incesante de hacer cosas nuevas, y con un sentido de la lealtad muy grande. Con ellos aprendí a vivir siguiendo la filosofía japonesa del Yuugen: ver belleza más allá de lo que los ojos ven y a sentir lo que las palabras no pueden describir. Creo que ellos estarán muy sorprendidos cuando sepan que formo parte esta comunidad: será esta la gran noticia de nuestro próximo encuentro.
What I love most in my life is my family, we are very close and we support each other unconditionally (I really consider that I am very lucky for the little group I got). I also enjoy spending time with my friends: mine are very creative kids who are always looking for new things to do, and have a great sense of loyalty. With them I learned to live by the Japanese philosophy of Yuugen: to see beauty beyond what the eyes see and to feel what words cannot describe. I think they will be very surprised when they learn that I am part of this community: this will be the big news of our next meeting.
Con los años he ido descubriendo otras cosas que me apasiona1. n tanto como la actividad turística: la fotografía, el arte, el deporte, los libros, los animales y conocer gente, empatizar con ellas. También me resulta interesante todo lo relacionado con el mundo de las criptomonedas, del cual aunque tengo poco conocimiento, si percibo que ha ido creciendo de forma acelerada en los últimos años y que constituye una alternativa de inversión segura y cada vez más popular. Over the years I have discovered other things that I am as passionate about as tourism: photography, art, sports, books, animals and meeting people, empathizing with them.
