So, es geht weiter mit der Tour rund um die Insel. Mit einer neuen Herausforderung: Fliegen über Wasser. Hatte dazu eher eine starke Abneigung bisher. Da ich immer das Horrorszenario einer Fehlfunktion der Drohne im Kopf hatte und daher immer irgendwo dort fliegen wollte, wo ich wenigstens eine abgestürzte Drohne wieder Bergen kann. Bisher hatte alles immer funktioniert und darum habe ich den Schritt gewagt.
So, we continue with the tour around the island. With a new challenge: flying over water. Had rather a strong aversion to it so far. Since I always had the horror scenario of a malfunction of the drone in mind and therefore always wanted to fly somewhere where I can at least recover a crashed drone. So far everything had always worked and that's why I took this step.
Los ging es. Und noch einmal zurückgeschaut auf das Ufer.

Gestartet bin ich in der Nähe des Hügels, die freie Fläche zwischen den Bäumen.
I started near the hill, the free area between the trees.
Mein eigentliches Ziel war die kleine Insel. Ich dachte, dass müsste klappen, also nichts wie hin. Auch deshalb interessant, da ich dort Häuser von weitem gesehen hatte.
My actual destination was the little island. I thought that should work, so let's go. Also interesting because I had seen houses there from afar.
Und so weit bin ich gekommen. Dann wurde mir ein wenig zu mulmig und bin erst mal nicht weiter. Doch ich konnte sehen, was dort los war. Fischer haben sich vor der Insel auf schwimmenden Plattformen eingenistet.
And that's how far I've come. Then I became a little too queasy and I am not further for the time being. But I could see what was going on there. Fishermen have nested themselves in front of the island on floating platforms.
Noch schnell einmal auf das offene Meer geschaut und jetzt geht es wirklich zurück.
A quick look at the open sea again and now we really go back.
Der Wind war stärker als gedacht. Die Drohne flog stabil, doch konnte ich einmal die Rotoren im Bild sehen, durch die starke Neigung. Darum die Entscheidung es sein zulassen. Die Grenzen austesten wollte ich nicht.
The wind was stronger than I thought. The drone flew stable, but once I could see the rotors in the picture, due to the strong inclination. That's why the decision to let it be. I did not want to test the limits.
Vor der Landung bin ich noch ein wenig die Straße entlang und habe danach zum Landeanflug angesetzt.

Eine gelungene Expedition. Alles blieb heil. Über dem Wasser war der Wind stärker als über dem Land. Die Wellen waren eigentlich ein guter Indikator dafür. Mit der Einschätzung der Situation ist es immer so eine Sache. Anmerkung: Wer weiter fliegt, sollte, immer gegen den Wind seinen Weg antreten und mit dem Wind zurückkehren. Dadurch kann sichergestellt werden, dass der Akku durchhält. Bis dann!
A successful expedition. Everything remained intact. Above the water the wind was stronger than above the land. The waves were actually a good indicator.
