Hello Foodies

I am very happy to be back again to participate in Foodies Be Hive Community, sharing stories and stories about culinary, food and culture which I hope can inspire us all today. Come on, see my story this time.
Pop Culture and Culinary
Do you believe that the shows we watch on television, YouTube or other dramas can influence us to choose the food we eat? If you don't believe it, there is a lot of scientific research on the content of culinary shows and people's buying interest in these food products. Therefore, one way to market and introduce a culinary dish from one country is by doing a food placement in a movie or drama scene.
I still remember in 2014, when I was watching Kingsman: The Secret Service, there was a scene where Samuel L. Jakson offered Colin Firth a dinner dish, not one fine dining with wine but a stack of Big Macs from Mac Donalds. In addition, the film industry in Hollywood, Japanese films, manga or anime are also very good at introducing Japanese food to the world community. From anime and manga, we know sushi, ramen, yakitori, yakisoba, udon and even takoyaki. Even today, almost all over the world have sushi and ramen restaurants adapted to the local flavors of that country.
Korean Drama and Korean Food
For the past 10 years, I have watched and witnessed how Korean dramas and films that are broadcast on OTP such as Netflix, Viu, Hotstar, or Prime have made Korean food popular and loved by everyone in the world. In almost every Korean drama, there are scenes of eating or drinking with Korean culinary delights, such as scenes of drinking soju, eating Korean street food, and even coming to a Korean grill restaurant. As a fan and viewer of Korean dramas, I am also influenced by wanting to try these various dishes.
Last weekend, I watched a Korean drama entitled "One Dollar Lawyer" on Hotstar. The drama is very interesting in terms of story and also very entertaining. However, while watching the drama I was distracted when I saw the scene of the main actor enjoying Jajangmyeon, which looked very delicious and very appetizing. I'm a noodle fan, and every time I see noodles on dramas like this, I really want to try them. I asked my wife, does anyone in Medan City sell culinary like that? my wife doesn't know, but she will buy instant Jajangmyeon for me to try.
Instant Jajangmyeon by Mujigae
Finally, my wife bought instant jajangmyeon for me. He got this jajangmyeon from the supermarket near my house. I think, Korean food like this is only sold in special stores that sell imported food. Think about it, two years ago I didn't know about jajangmyeon and it was even very difficult to find Korean snacks or snacks in supermarkets. It only took two years, instant jajangmyeon can be found in supermarkets.
Instant jajangmyeon that my wife bought from Mujigae, one of the biggest food companies in South Korea. For the price, one pack of Jajangmyeon Mujigae is priced at IDR 20K or 1.5 USD. Actually, the price is more expensive than the usual instant noodle prices in Indonesia, which are only around 0.4-0.75 USD.
Jajangmyeon has a different form of noodles from instant noodles which usually use grilled noodles and must be boiled in hot water first. This Jajangmyeon Mujigae has been cooked in vacuum packaging, the texture is wet and the noodles are similar in size to udon. The packaging also explains how to cook it, and instructions not to buy jajangmyeon mujigae if the packaging is damaged, especially the noodle packaging.
The cooking method is also very simple, we prepare a pan and put the wet noodles into the pan and pour the jajangmyeon seasoning. Heat the pan and stir all the spices until smooth, make sure to also simmer this instant jajangmyeon for about 2-3 minutes and this jajangmyeon by mujigae is ready for us to eat.
How does it feel ? In my opinion, jajangmyeon by mujigae has a very strong savory and sweet dominant flavor. In terms of terminology, jajangmyeon is made using black soy sauce and garlic added with meat as a topping. From Korean dramas, I know that jajangmyeon uses pork topping, but in order to be accepted by the market in Muslim-majority countries, this instant jajangmyeon uses beef topping and gets an Indonesian halal certificate.
Jajangmyeon also uses wheat flour for the noodle composition, so it tastes more filling and also chewy. I love this jajangmyeon mujigae, if it was less than half the price, I would probably eat it for breakfast every day. It's a very pleasant breakfast experience.
