Hello Hivers! , once again, and today I’ll be sharing a simple day of mine.
Last week, we had a seminar on physical wellness and stress management. Our schedule was from 8 AM to 12 PM, together with the BSA students.
As usual, I arrived late—just before 8:30 a.m. I arrived before 8:30 to avoid being marked as absent on the attendance sheet. It was perfect timing because, just as I arrived, the speakers mentioned that attendance would close by 8:45. When I got there, there weren’t too many people yet. I was supposed to sit at the back and prepare some seats for my friends since we had agreed that whoever arrived first would save seats. However, as I was about to set aside chairs, the speakers announced that whoever arrived early should take their seats immediately. Since there were still many vacant seats in the front, they asked us to move there to avoid gaps.
Not wanting to make a fuss, I moved to the front and messaged my friends that I couldn’t save them a seat. Luckily, they were okay with it.
As expected, the seminar started at around 9 AM—typical "Filipino time."
The speakers explained why only third-year students were attending. Since this year marks a transition phase, they wanted us to develop resilience for better well-being and academic success.
They also shared tips on managing stress and how to handle it effectively.
For example, if your mind feels overwhelmed with random thoughts, they suggested stepping outside and looking at greenery—especially trees and leaves—since it helps relieve stress. They shared many more helpful tips like this.
Most of my classmates attended because the seminar was important. Plus, we needed the certification given after the seminar for our clearance signing at the end of the semester.
My friends arrived late—most of them, at least. They missed the attendance for the time-in but were able to sign in for the time-out.
After the seminar ended at around 11:45 AM, they distributed the certificates. They even played graduation-style music, which I didn’t mind, but some people found it amusing.
Since many students were receiving certificates, the distribution finished at around 12 PM.
At first, I intended to return home and eat lunch there, but I was already hungry. So I decided to dine in instead—and I did eat a lot.
After lunch, we headed home. But since there was a newly opened store across the bus stop, my friends and I decided to check it out. I even told them, "Let’s buy something, not just cool off inside!"
So, we grabbed some ice creams, which were super affordable for students.
The front of the shop had chairs in front for students waiting for their buses. However, since our bus stop was different, we crossed the street and waited at our designated stop.
Perfect timing! Right as we arrived at our stop, a bus came, so we quickly hopped on. We even ate our ice creams on the bus!
By the way, this ice cream tasted just like Kopiko coffee—except it was actually ice cream.
And that’s all, my dear Hivers! Thank you for reading!
