Life has been quite hectic lately with travelling. I visited my family back home in Mindanao and stayed there
for almost two weeks. Then, back to Cebu for a day and travelled again for my first international travel after two years of being stuck in my home country because of COVID restrictions. Three days ago, We arrived in Bangkok. And we'll be staying here for eight days more. And we are enjoying it. π
For today's blog. Let me share with you some of Dad's flowering plants that he's been proud of. I don't have an idea what's the name of these purple flowers that he's been obsessed with lately. But, one of them is from my childhood home. And it's mom plant. He just replanted it and it blooms so many flowers and it radiated to the small space of his garden.
Let me start with this one. This huge orchid flower blooms dramatically during the daytime. The flower starts opening after 8 in the morning until late afternoon. Then it closes in the evening and opens up in the morning again. We get it from my Aunt. As she's having a hard time raising it well. My dad has a green thumb. π» Everything he planted just bloomed and lives happily. πΈ
It's getting bigger and bigger every time I visited home and Dad loves it.
It's his pride and joy π
Here come his hydrangeas or we call it a million flowers. There's a myth about it that when the plants showed some flowers. You will be lucky and have more money coming. I don't know if it's true since it's a myth.π€πΉ We used to have yellow and white at the old house before when I was a kid. My late Mom loves flowers so much that I guess my big brother inherited it from her and they pass through Dad and me. ππ
So, this is mom's plant from the old house. In my dialect, we call it "buto-buto". Mom has two kinds of variety. This one and the vine small version of it. This reminds me of Mom. Like whenever she's right now. The piece of her is still bright and gives some sort of happiness to our home and lives. π
