Good day to you, Hivers!
Today, I'm introducing you to what has got to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the north of Tenerife.
Playa Bollullo is located in El Rincón, just a kilometer or two from Puerto de la Cruz. In fact, you can take a nice walk to the beach from Puerto, which is exactly what I did.
The beach has been closed for 6 months due to part of a cliff collapsing (which happens quite often around this island) but finally opened a few weeks back! So naturally, I went to check it out. And it really is beautiful. It's quite wild (like the majority of beaches in the north), with black sand typical for this area, and crystal clear water. There's a bar above the beach and one on the beach, and there are also toilets, but you need to climb some stairs to reach them! As is usually the case around this island.
Have you ever been to a black sand beach before? Would you like to visit this one? Let me know! Maybe I'll take some inspiration for my future travels :)
