It is my usual Sunday before COVID-19 pandemic, though I am a married man now. I need to wake up early because we will attend our meetings in sign language. Yes, it's in-person already for few months, and we're doing it virtually for more than two years.
So I go headed to the kitchen what to cook. I wanted to cook eggs but we ran out of it so I fried fish instead. My wife has a 30-minute work so we're unable to do things altogether. After breakfast and bathing, we walked around half-kilometer to the bus stop. At least, we got to exercise. We need this because we're home most of the time.
When we reached the city, I was worried because I can see some areas with floods. We're wearing shoes so it will be difficult for us where to walk on. Gladly, there are areas where our feet will never get wet.
Our meetings started at 10am and was finished at 12noon. I met new deaf people, who are the students of our friend. I also served as an interpreter from sign language to Tagalog because there are hearing individuals who attended but they can't fully understand without any interpretation.
My wife and I had planned to go the mall for lunch, and also, to walk around. However, our friend invited us for a lunch in a restaurant. Yes, it's a treat so why not? It's fun because we got to associate with each other, upbuilding conversations, and of course, laughter.
My friend brought these hamsters to give away. I don't like it not only because I'm not really into pets. I just don't have time for them, and I don't like rodents. I can't even hold a cat or a dog! My wife played with it, and she got bitten. Thank God they don't carry rabies!
When we're going home, we passed in this area in Dagupan City which was flooded. I don't think high tide is to be blamed this time. There's already floods in the morning, and it's still there until mid-afternoon. The problem is poor flood control. Anyway, the whole city isn't flooded so at that part, we still have to be thankful.
As we got home, I got to rest a bit. My wife went to the market with her bicycle. She's actually excited to use it which she bought last Saturday. I am worried for her though. Thank God she's safe.
Lots of things to thanks for, it's a great day. Spent some time with friends, lunch with them, and so many blessings that we couldn't count.
