This month, I'm really making an effort to acquire as many daily focus chests and end-of-season chests as possible. Why? Because I want to obtain more Soulbound cards.
If you don't know what Splinterlands is and you've come across this post, let me introduce you:
Splinterlands is a Play-to-Earn Card Battle Game where you deploy NFT cards as units in each battle. Winning a battle rewards you with items and tokens that can be converted into real cash.
This game is playable in Mobile and Desktop Devices

Splinterlands is enjoyable to play because it requires strategic thinking in every encounter. It's not a game where using the most expensive cards guarantees victory. You need to carefully plan every card you deploy because winning a battle depends on the abilities of your cards and their positioning.
But why do I want to acquire more Soulbound cards?
Soulbound cards are the new reward cards that Splinterlands is giving away to players, they can't be transferred or sold but they can be used in battles.
Soulbound cards can be burned. If you accumulate an excess of the same card, you can "burn" those extra cards in exchange for DEC Tokens, which are usable within the game. This means that even though these cards can't be directly sold or transferred, they can still generate profit.
You see, I have a genuine passion for playing Splinterlands, it's the only game that truly excites me and offers potential returns on investment.
I only rent cards because I cant buy powerful ones because I don't have a budget so my option is to rent. I play a lot because I want to have my own deck even if they are just reward cards.
The way to achieve this without spending too much or at least to get back some of my expenses is by obtaining Soulbound cards from Daily Focus chests and end-of-season chests.
Eventually, when I have obtained many Soulbound cards, my renting expense will decrease and I will have more cards that I can use in battles.
Here's me opening my Daily Focus Chest:
How can you open more chests? To receive numerous chests in your Daily Focus and End Of Season rewards, you must secure more wins. And to secure those victories, you need to strategize the cards you rent.
My approach involves checking my Daily Focus Quest for the day and tailoring my rentals accordingly. Planning becomes more difficult if the quest involves a specific element, but if it's an ability-based quest, the process is much simpler.
If you encounter an elemental quest, refrain from renting cards solely from that particular element. As your ranking improves, the availability of elements for battle changes. Lacking the necessary cards for a certain element can hinder your success.
In case I run out of energy, I purchase more energy using DEC. However, avoid purchasing more than 50 energy within a 24-hour period, as the price will increase.
I buy additional energy to fully maximize my rented cards before their expiration.

Playing Splinterlands is not only enjoyable but also mentally stimulating and rewarding too.
