Hubo una vez que soñé con una bruja... bueno, no sé si realmente lo era. Esto es debido a que no era la típica bruja de sombrero puntiagudo, revolviendo brebajes mágicos en un caldero y volando en una escoba. Parecía una persona normal, pero por alguna razón asumí que era una. No sé si las brujas existen en la vida real, pero si hay algo de lo que estoy seguro, es que el mal existe y puede tener rostro humano.
Hoy les presento "La Bruja y el Cuervo", la séptima ilustración de la Serie Pesadillas, donde la inspiración vino del sueño que les comento en este post.

Once upon a time I dreamed of a witch... well, I don't know if she really was. This is because she was not your typical pointy-hat witch, stirring magical concoctions in a cauldron and flying on a broomstick. She looked like a normal person, but for some reason I assumed she was. I don't know if witches exist in real life, but if there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that evil exists and can have a human face.
Today I present "La Bruja y el Cuervo" ("The Witch and the Raven" in English), the seventh illustration of the Nightmares Series, where the inspiration came from the dream that I comment on in this post.
Como les dije, se veía como una persona normal, hasta que un cuervo irrumpió en el sueño. El cuervo se posó en su hombro, pero a ella no pareció importarle, solo estaba parada allí con la mirada perdida. De repente, el cuervo se abalanza sobre su cara y hunde el pico en su ojo izquierdo, sacándolo después de forzar la carne. Durante este tiempo la bruja permaneció imperturbable, ni se movió, ni gimió, ni mostró el menor gesto de dolor ante tal mutilación. A continuación, una luz verde comenzó a fluir por el orificio donde solía estar el ojo, mientras un líquido negro espeso corría por la herida, la boca y la nariz. Extraños símbolos comenzaron a surgir alrededor de la bruja, verdes y brillantes como luces de neón; parecían místicos como si invocaran algo. Allí termina la pesadilla y me despierto, eran las 3:00 am.
Con respecto al dibujo, hay muchas formas de ilustrar caras. Hacer un óvalo para la cabeza, un trazo aquí y allá, la distancia entre un ojo y otro es un tercer ojo... ect, etc, etc. Cuando comencé a dibujar bocetos de caras, lo hice como me sentía más cómodo, adaptando todas aquellas recomendaciones que leía, oía o veía. En fin, descubrí mi propia manera, que es un poco desordenada (jajaja). Es decir, nunca sigo un orden específico, es muy aleatorio cómo lo voy a hacer.
Te recomiendo que encuentres tu propia forma, como te sientas más cómodo. Quizás mis acabados no sean los mejores, pero fluyen mejor cuando hago las cosas a mi manera. Me funciona así. Comparto algunas imágenes del proceso.
As I told you, she seemed like a normal person, until a raven broke into the dream. The raven landed on her shoulder, but she didn't seem to care, she was just standing there staring blankly. Suddenly, the raven lunges at her face and plunges its beak into her left eye, taking it out after forcing the meat. During this time the witch remained imperturbable, neither moved, nor groaned, nor did she show the slightest gesture of pain at such mutilation. Next, a green light began to flow from the hole where the eye used to be, while a thick black liquid ran down the wound, the mouth and the nose. Strange symbols began to emerge around the witch, green and bright like neon lights; they seemed mystical as if invoking something. There the nightmare ends and I wake up, it was 3:00 am.
Regarding the drawing, there are many ways to illustrate faces. Make an oval for the head, a trace here and there, the distance between one eye and another is a third eye... ect, etc, etc. When I started drawing face sketches, I did it how I felt most comfortable, adapting all those recommendations that I read, heard or saw. Anyway, I discovered my own way, which is a bit messy (hahaha). That is, I never follow a specific order, it is very random how I am going to do it.
I recommend that you find your own way, as you feel most comfortable. Maybe my finishes are not the best, but they flow better when I do things my way. It works for me like that. I share some images of the process.

Este es el último dibujo de la Serie Pesadillas, me divertí mucho haciendo y compartiendo estas ilustraciones basadas en sueños locos que he tenido. Estoy preparando otras cosas.
