The 27th of October, 2022
One Sunday, I spent some time wandering around Stanley town and doing some window shopping at its fantastic market. There is a wide range of merchandise available, including gifts and souvenirs. Among all the stores, however, I was particularly fond of the art galleries.
One thing I noticed while wandering around town was that people adore art. They appear to have devoted a significant amount of time to paintings and other forms of canvas and art. There are many paintings for sale in the market and other shops outside of town.
Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring are depicted in various canvas paintings. My favorite was the tree painting with autumn leaves because I adore this time of year.
Another shop has paintings showing various Hong Kong landmarks, HK foods, flowers, beaches, tourist destinations, and lifestyles.
Buyers can select from a diverse range of art and paintings. Paintings have a variety of textures, including smooth, spladder, sandy, and various rough textures. Those paintings were created right inside those galleries. Inside the shop, I noticed one of the painters working on a painting. After payment, the paintings are ready for the buyers to take home. Items can also be shipped based on the buyer's request.
I also enjoy the painting depicting Central Harbour and some of Tsim Sha Tsui Harbour. That's the one with the enormous Ferris wheel. Actually, there were two. The other is in shade of purple. But my favorite art murals are in one of the galleries. The orange cat with huge eyes peeking out is adorable. And then there were the white ducks with the lady in the window. They truly represent Hong Kong life. But those are stories for another time.
