It is that time of the year again when all people all over the world are so optimistic about their future.
Literally every adult worldwide is setting goals for the new year!
The common goals people set are to make more money, lose weight by hitting the gym etc
I know some have set goals to get married, buy cars or even start a business.
I have personally set similar goals in the past but did not achieve them unfortunately as the momentum dies out along the way hehe.
This year I have decided to use another approach while setting my goals.
We have often heard that
If you keep doing the same things, you will always get the same results
And the classic
Insanity is doing the same things while expecting different results!
Yes, it is true I have those general goals just like other people, but I decided to make my goals smaller so that they can be achievable.
We always set goals vaguely and we always wonder why we do not achieve them hehe.
My main goal for this year is to take each day as it comes
Yes, you read that right.
We always forget that to make a year it takes 365 days or 12 months or 52 weeks!
If we decide to look at a year as a whole, it looks more intimidating than looking at it as a day at a time!
We can also look at a year as 12 months hence you can set your monthly goals or even as weeks ie 52 weeks.
I have decided to take my 2023 day in and day out. It is easier to determine whether you failed or succeeded during the day.
There's a famous Jim Rohn quote that says
You either run the day or the day runs you
One of my daily goals for 2023 is to make at least one Hive post or one tweet or both!
So I can either make one Hive post and I consider it a successful day or make a tweet.
My key goal is to develop consistency which I can transfer to my other areas of life.
If I post daily on Hive or make a tweet daily then I will consider myself successful.
As a matter of fact, today has already been a successful day as I have written this post here and also already made tweets!
So are you going to go through your 2023 by month, day or week?
So folks what are your 2023 goals?
I would love to hear them in the comments below
Love
Jarau
