After a long trip that made me wonder if Tuesday really existed in my life, today I went for my first tour of the city of Rome with my wife and friends. It was a perfect and beautiful day, full of adventures, in fact we ventured to travel from Fumicino airport to Termini, without much local money and without a telephone line, but we successfully reached our destination. We had tickets to visit the Colosseum, but with the excitement of the moment and how early we left we were able to see more places... How lucky that our first day in Rome was a day off from work ❤️
Luego de un viaje largo que me hizo preguntarme si realmente existió el día Martes en mi vida, hoy fui a dar mi primer recorrido por la ciudad de Roma junto a mi esposa y mis amigos. Fue un día perfecto y hermoso, lleno de aventuras, de hecho nos aventuramos a viajar desde el aeropuerto de Fumicino hasta Termini, sin mucho dinero local y sin línea telefónica, pero llegamos con éxito hasta nuestro destino. Teníamos entradas para visitar el Coliseo, pero con la emoción del momento y lo temprano que salimos pudimos conocer más lugares... Que suerte que nuestro primer día en Roma haya sido día libre en el trabajo ❤️
The first thing we did was visit the tomb of Pope Francis, located in the Basilica of Santa María Maggiore, one of the main temples of Rome and its four great main basilicas. The architect of the place is impressive, worthy of being one of the most important Catholic churches in the world and which is a tribute to the Virgin Mary. In addition, here are some very important relics of the manger where Jesus was born. A holy place without a doubt.
Lo primero que hicimos fue visitar la tumba del Papa Francisco, ubicada en la Basílica de Santa María La Mayor, uno de los templos principales de Roma y de sus cuatro grandes basílicas principales. Este lugar fue lo primero que más causó impacto en mi en horas de la mañana, y creo que también a mis acompañantes. La arquitecta del lugar es impresionante, digna de ser una de las iglesias católicas más importantes del mundo y que es homenaje a la Virgen María, además, aquí están unas reliquias muy importantes del pesebre donde nació Jesús. Un lugar santo sin duda alguna.
We had our first approach to the Trevi Fountain. Wow, it is a destination that is in our plans, but today we passed by there but by chance and we took the opportunity to take some photos from afar. This place always has many tourists around, so you have to come calmly. The excitement there is impressive, everyone is very happy and although I know that you have to be careful of pickpockets, the truth is that the people were very friendly, after the photo it is the most impressive fountain in the world.
Tuvimos nuestro primer acercamiento a la Fontana di Trevi. Vaya que es un destino que está en nuestros planes, pero hoy pasamos por ahí pero casualidad y aprovechamos de tomarnos unas fotos desde lejos. Este lugar siempre tiene muchos turistas a su al rededor, así que hay que venir con calma. La emoción que se vive ahí es impresionante, todos están muy alegres y aunque sé que hay que cuidarse de los carteristas, la verdad es que las personas estaban muy amistosas, después de foto es la fuente mas impresionante del mundo.
The Roman Colosseum!!! ❤️ I confess that it is a place that I dreamed of visiting since I was a child. There are many reasons that make this one of my favorite places in the world. Being there was very important, more than I thought. I already knew everything I was going to see, and yet I let myself be enthralled by every detail. I entered the first two levels with a ticket that I reserved a month ago, because it is complicated to visit, but everything went well, there was even good weather. I don't know how many hours I walked in this area, but the excitement is such that I came directly to the hotel to write this post.
El Coliseo Romano!!! ❤️ Confieso que es un lugar que soñaba con visitar desde niño. Son muchos los motivos que hacen que este sea uno de mis sitios preferidos del mundo. Estar ahí fue muy importante, más de lo que yo pensaba. Ya sabía todo lo que iba a ver, y aún así me deje embelesar con cada detalle. Entre a los dos primeros niveles con una entrada que reservé hace un mes, porque vaya que es complicado visitarlo, pero todo salió bueno, incluso hubo bien clima. No sé cuántas horas caminé en esta zona, pero la emoción es tal que he llegado al hotel directamente a escribir este post.
Tomorrow will also be very exciting, we will have to go to the Vatican very early, but then it is a free day to explore nearby areas and the Holy See of the Catholic Church itself. We still have to have our first concert here in Italy, but everything is going well for that celebration of the canonization of José Gregorio Hernández and Sister Carmen Rendiles, which will take place on Sunday the 19th. They will be the first two Venezuelan saints, and that has many people excited. Happy to be part of this story and contribute at least my voice to this iconic moment for my country ❤️
Mañana también será muy emocionante, tendremos que ir al Vaticano muy temprano, pero luego es día libre para explorar zonas cercanas y La misma Santa Sede de la iglesia católica. Aún falta para tener nuestro primer concierto aquí en Italia, pero todo va bien para esa fiesta de la canonización de José Gregorio Hernández y la Hermana Carmen Rendiles, que se llevará a cabo el Domingo 19. Serán los primeros dos santos venezolanos, y eso tiene emocionada a mucha gente. Feliz de ser parte de esta historia y aportar al menos mi voz para este momento icónico para mí país ❤️
