Hola Hivers, amantes de las películas y series, en esta ocasión quiero seguir colocando bajo la lupa nuevas producciones en el catálogo de Netflix, analizando siempre desde mi perspectiva esas nuevas películas y si en mi opinión vale la pena ver. En este caso analizaré una película que además de ser reciente se encuentra en los primeros puestos del top de este servicio de streaming que es tan importante para la industria del entretenimiento, una historia del viejo oeste que seguramente llamara la atención, Más Dura Será La Caída.
Confieso que dentro del género Wester no he observado un gran número de producciones, se que existen diversos clásicos en este genero típico estadounidense, por lo cual la percepción en cuanto este tipo de producciones además de ser subjetiva puede estar influenciada por la cultura o la región en donde se encuentren los espectadores, en mi caso les comentaré sobre esos aspectos que me atrajeron a esta película y darle el botón de reproducir.
Sinopsis:
Nat Love es un forajido sediento de venganza contra uno de los principales criminales que ha ganado su fama mediante la violencia y la intimidación. Al saber que ha salido de la cárcel buscará consumar la venganza que arrastra desde niño con ayuda de una banda de excelentes pistoleros.
Análisis de la película
Historia
Uno de los aspectos que hace captar la atención de cualquier espectador es la historia en la que se introducirá la producción, al ser una película wester y de manera implícita promete secuencias de acción, donde la velocidad y la puntería significan esa delgada línea entre la vida y la muerte, siempre me siento atraído por el genero de acción y si una película promete buenas escenas de enfrentamientos es una producción que puede llamarme la atención fácilmente y esto ocurre en esta película. En lo particular me parecen interesantes las películas basadas en el pasado y esta suponía un viaje a una época donde Norteamérica conquistaba un territorio donde se pensaba que nadie llegaría a construir pueblo ni mucho menos ciudades, este tipo de asentamientos en la zonas de los áridos desiertos se convertían en una anarquía gobernada a fuerza por el mas rápido y el mas violento, sin dudas algo bastante atrayente para un espectador incluso los que somos ajenos propiamente a la cultura norteamericana.
Vaqueros Afroamericanos
Otro aspecto bastante llamativo es que nos introducimos en una historia con vaqueros afroamericanos y esta característica en particular puede causar cierta confusión en espectadores que espera una trama que si bien puede ser ficticia se estructura basándose en la historia real. Debemos tener en cuenta que la historia del lejano oeste se realiza durante una época donde ya ha culminado la guerra civil de Estados Unidos, donde se logra la abolición de la esclavitud y muchos de los esclavos se trasladan a diferentes lugares del país en búsqueda de una mejor vida, así ocurre en el lejano oeste como lo llamamos con cierto cariño.
A pesar de que es una fracción historia que muchos ignoran, los vaqueros afroamericanos existieron, incluso pistoleros bastante famosos de esta región se encuentran en los libros de historia, es una característica quizás un poco olvidada en la cultura pero que este tipo de producciones nos hace recordar, así como también otras producciones donde se incluye grandes directores como del famoso Quentin Tarantino, donde incluye esta característica que no es para ignorar y que de alguna manera realza un aspecto quizás un poco olvidado de aquella cultura norteamericana.
En esta película nos introduciremos en esta aventura donde la trama se encarrila por la estructura típica del género, la verdad no hay algo nuevo o innovador y esto lo digo desde la perspectiva de una persona que no ha incursionado mucho dentro del género Wester, podemos observar las típicas escenas en la cantina y otras reconocidas secuencias que encontramos incluso en caricaturas y en parodias, por lo cual la estructura de la trama quizás falla en el factor sorpresa o en innovación, sin embargo, con esto no quiero decir que la película no sea entretenida solo que es predecible y que es te la típicas producciones del lejano oeste, a pesar de que posiblemente cuente más de lo mismo lo compensa con otros aspectos técnicos que definitivamente realzan esta producción.
Fotografía y Juego de Cámaras
Es otros de esos aspectos que esperamos en una película de vaqueros, la fotografía mostrando paisajes hermosos, las cabalgatas e incluso los típicos acercamientos de los pistoleros donde se agrega un momento de tensión es realmente bueno en esta película, me ha gustado esos juegos de cámaras en las escenas, una fotografía impecable que le dan vida a la producción y nos propone una calidad visual de primer nivel.
En momentos podemos ver algunos efectos especiales, sin embargo, no son muy significativos quizás alguna escena con una especie de cámara lenta le da un toque épico a la toma pero no va mas allá debido a que la trama no lo necesita, solamente la sangre saliendo de las cabezas o de los cuerpos que se les dispara, pero sin dudas se complementa con una buena fotográfica y un buen manejo de las cámaras al momento de realizar las tomas.
Banda Sonora
Quizás en este ámbito la película tenga muchas críticas, sobre todo desde un punto de vista cultural, debido a la mezcla de géneros en la música, sin embargo, a mi me ha gustado la banda sonora que nos complementa el buen aspecto visual y filmográfico mencionado en la sección anterior. Esta música se introduce en ciertos momentos para agregar emoción a la secuencia me parece buena aunque quizás no sea una banda sonora folklórica de vaqueros, en si en este aspecto no tengo mucho conocimiento, solo una simple opinión según mi gusto particular y resalto la banda sonora como un aspecto positivo en el film.
Actuaciones y Personajes
Me parece que la producción tiene buenas actuaciones por parte del reparto, haciendo sobresalir al actor Jonathan Majors que da vida al protagonista y nos presenta el típico héroe del oeste en búsqueda de su damisela, por otro lado tenemos al antagonista Rufus Buck interpretado por el actor Idris Elba, su actuación me parece sobresaliente mientras vamos conociendo a este personaje, es un villano bastante interesante, que puede intimidar al cualquiera y al momento de imponer su ley no le tiembla el pulso para cometer cualquier atrocidad, inteligente y con elocuencia, sin embargo, me decepciona ese encuentro final entre el protagonista y este antagonista, lo cual resulta en un desperdicio.
Otra actriz cuya actuación me ha gustado es la secuaz de Rufus Buck interpretada por Regina King, nos muestra un personaje donde se muestra de manera implícita la balanza de inclusión de género pero no me parece algo forzado y entretenido dando lugar a actrices femeninas y buenos personajes sobre todo esta villana.
Acción
Hay buenas escenas de acción, disparos a la cabeza y cierto grado de violencia que no es significativa pero si resulta entretenida. Por momentos pensamos que estamos viendo a John Wick en el lejano oeste debido a la rapidez y precisión al apuntar a la cabeza de los enemigos. Estas secuencias de acción son esas escenas donde los buenos son extremadamente habilidosos al disparar y los villanos son increíblemente malos. Algo que en ocasiones me parece necesario hasta cierto punto pero por momentos sentimos esa exageración en cuanto a la puntería y a las habilidades de los héroes.

Opinión Final
La película posee aspectos técnicos resaltantes, siguiendo una trama típica del género introducida en una historia de venganza, a pesar de ser algo predecible se tiene que resaltar el valor a esos detalles que le dan mejor visibilidad como la fotografía. A mi parecer es una película que si bien no va a hacer explotar la cabeza puede es entretenida.
Las películas de dos horas pueden resultar aburridas en algún punto, sin embargo, en la estructura de esta trama tendremos entretenimiento a lo largo del film, para mi es una buena producción, pero así como lo he dicho anteriormente he podido disfrutar pocas producciones de este género y es importante señalar que quizás un usuario en Norteamérica opine distinto a este tipo de películas que un latinoamericano.
¿La Recomiendo?
Si, es una producción entretenida, tiene de todo un poco, acción, algo de romance, venganza y buenas escenas de acción con muchos disparos, sin duda es buen entretenimiento y en mi opinión si bien no es una obra maestra las dos horas de duración no son una perdida de tiempo.

Storyline.
One of the aspects that makes capture the attention of any viewer is the story in which the production will be introduced, being a wester film and implicitly promises action sequences, where speed and marksmanship mean that thin line between life and death, I am always attracted to the action genre and if a film promises good scenes of confrontations is a production that can easily catch my attention and this happens in this film. In particular I find interesting films based on the past and this one supposed a trip to a time where America conquered a territory where it was thought that no one would ever build a town, much less cities, such settlements in the arid desert areas became an anarchy ruled by force by the fastest and most violent, no doubt something quite appealing to a viewer even those who are alien to the American culture itself.
African American cowboys
Another rather striking aspect is that we are introduced to a story with African-American cowboys and this particular feature may cause some confusion in viewers expecting a plot that while it may be fictional is structured based on real history. In this movie we will be introduced in this adventure where the plot follows the typical structure of the genre, the truth is that there is nothing new or innovative and I say this from the perspective of a person who has not ventured much into the Wester genre, we can see the typical scenes in the bar and other recognized sequences that we find even in cartoons and parodies, so the structure of the plot perhaps fails in the surprise factor or innovation, however, with this I do not mean that the film is not entertaining just that it is predictable and that it is typical Wild West productions, although it possibly tells more of the same, it compensates with other technical aspects that definitely enhance this production.
Photography and Camera Game
It is another of those aspects that we expect in a cowboy movie, the photography showing beautiful landscapes, the rides and even the typical close-ups of the gunfighters where a moment of tension is added is really good in this movie, I liked those camera games in the scenes, an impeccable photography that give life to the production and proposes us a first level visual quality.
At times we can see some special effects, however, they are not very significant perhaps some scene with a kind of slow motion gives an epic touch to the shot but does not go further because the plot does not need it, only the blood coming out of the heads or bodies that are shot, but no doubt it is complemented by a good photography and a good handling of the cameras at the time of shooting.
Soundtrack.
Perhaps in this area the film has many critics, especially from a cultural point of view, due to the mix of genres in the music, however, I liked the soundtrack that complements us the good visual and filmographic aspect mentioned in the previous section. This music is introduced in certain moments to add emotion to the sequence seems good to me although perhaps it is not a folkloric soundtrack of cowboys, in if in this aspect I do not have much knowledge, just a simple opinion according to my particular taste and I highlight the soundtrack as a positive aspect in the film.
Performances and Characters.
It seems to me that the production has good performances by the cast, making stand out the actor Jonathan Majors who gives life to the protagonist and presents us the typical western hero in search of his damsel, on the other hand we have the antagonist Rufus Buck played by actor Idris Elba, his performance seems to me outstanding as we get to know this character, is a very interesting villain, who can intimidate anyone and at the time of imposing his law does not tremble his pulse to commit any atrocity, intelligent and eloquent, however, I am disappointed by the final meeting between the protagonist and this antagonist, which results in a waste.
Another actress whose performance I liked is the henchwoman of Rufus Buck played by Regina King, she shows us a character where the balance of gender inclusion is implicitly shown but it does not seem to me something forced and entertaining giving place to female actresses and good characters especially this villain.
Action
There are good action scenes, headshots and a certain degree of violence that is not significant but entertaining. At times we think we are watching John Wick in the Wild West because of the speed and accuracy of the headshots. These action sequences are those scenes where the good guys are extremely skilled at shooting and the villains are incredibly bad. Something that at times I find necessary to a certain extent but at times we feel that exaggeration in terms of the heroes' aiming and skills.

The film has outstanding technical aspects, following a typical plot of the genre introduced in a story of revenge, despite being somewhat predictable you have to highlight the value to those details that give it better visibility as photography. In my opinion it is a film that while not going to make your head explode can is entertaining.
The two-hour movies can be boring at some point, however, in the structure of this plot we will have entertainment throughout the film, for me it is a good production, but as I said above I have been able to enjoy few productions of this genre and it is important to note that perhaps a user in North America think differently to this type of film than a Latin American.

Yes, it is an entertaining production, it has a little bit of everything, action, some romance, revenge and good action scenes with lots of shooting, it is certainly good entertainment and in my opinion although it is not a masterpiece the two hours of duration are not a waste of time.
