Today I will show you the illustration on how I made this straight gown.
Materials needed to make this outfit are: My Ankara, lining,zip, baby lace, gum still, shefun material, chalk, scissor, tape and my breast part.
I started by cutting the down part of, which I fold the material by two measure out my length waist and hips and cut it out, and place it on the other part and I give out two inches allowance for the zip and the slitting at the back.
Now to the upper part, I started with the back side.
Which the length is by sixteen inches, the hand pit by eight inches, the neck length by seven inches and the wideness by five inches, then I divided it by two, that's from the top to the middle is four inches that's the burst point then the up and the down is by three point five inches.
And the front part which I'll be putting the Brest part.
I folded the material by two removing six inches from the top, reason because I will be attaching a material up there.
Then I folded another material and place the first one on the other one and giving six inches space for the body part and sewing.
I cut out my hand and it's a double fley hand with a baby lace I will be using to make design for it.
After cutting all,I also cut out the lining for each part that is needed.
Then I proceeded to fixing the lining, after fixing then I iron it.
This is the back.
The front part.
And the hand, before fixing the lining I firstly fixed the baby lace on the bigger fley, fixed the gums till, iron it and make sure it's gum before fixing the lining.
After that I joined the both part together, both front and back.
Now back to the shifun I just fold it by two using a tiny piece of the material to hold it tight.
Now I proceeded to fix it at the front part of the gown in the down part.
After everything I proceed to join everything together fix the hand and the zip.
And the outfit is set.
