But it's also a post about the insane potential and opportunity we have here on Hive.
Let's go back in time to literally....6 years ago!
I discovered this blockchain and dove right in. And while I tried to learn everything I could about it, the evidence was pretty clear that I had to have a multi-angled approach to building my reputation on the chain.
I had to show up, contribute, blog, comment but also put some skin into the game. Which meant, spending some fiat to get some liquid tokens to power up. If you knew my circumstances at the time that I joined this chain, you'd understand how big a leap that was to 'spend' some fiat on a crypto I believed represented the future of pretty much everything.
Fast forward to today and because of the effort, time and patience I put in here, I was able to get into one of the most exciting projects being built on chain...Without a single penny invested into it.
Trust me, this is a post about Holozing...And so much more ;)

It's most definitely one of the reasons I got involved when this project was launched. But also because of who is behind it. If you have spent any amount of time on chain, you'll know 
So without question, this was something I wanted to dive into.
Problem was....I made a commitment on January 1st of this year to...Like I said....Trim the fat. Meaning, I was going to focus my efforts on basically $HIVE and $LEO and that's about it.
So while Holozing looked like a fantastic project, I really didn't want to go against my commitment to myself and spend a dime out of my own pocket...Yet!
Thankfully, like I mentioned above....I have been on this chain for 6 years...Building!
Here's how I'm now collecting Holozing tokens without a penny out of my own pocket:
Delegation
Currently, I'm delegating 5000 Hive Power to Holozing. Which is actually peanuts compared to what some others are doing right now, but it still generates hundreds of ZING tokens for me each and every day.
The APR has gone down quite a bit since this was launched, but that's fine with me. I'm earning passive ZING tokens, just from the effort I've invested into Hive for the past half a decade plus.
Staking
Since I started delegating my Hive Power, I've received about 13,000 ZING tokens. I sold a few off (more on that in a second) but right now I've got around 80 bucks worth of tokens at the current price.
If you believe in this game as much as the community does, you'll know this could potentially explode once the card packs are for sale and the game play is introduced.
So right now, I'm enjoying the over 75% APR in staking these tokens.
Liquidity Pools
Now here's what my plans are going to focus on in 2024....
If you noticed above, I'm generating some small liquid ZING from the pool I'm invested in on Tribal Dex. Every day, I've been adding those ZING into the pool and it's growing, ever so slightly.
But my plan in 2024, is to start buying ZING and investing in this pool. Because at 378% APR, coupled with my belief in Holozing, I'd be a fool not to.
So what does this all mean in the big picture of Jongo's journey?
I got involved in one of the most exciting projects on Hive, without spending a dime of my own money. Sure, if you want to get technical, I invested time, energy and the limited fiat when I started out on chain...But I've been able to generate around 80 bucks in tokens, just by using the assets I've accumulated on chain since 2017.
This is what you can do on Hive.
And why to this day, Hive Power truly is one of the 'wonders of the crypto world' on so many levels. One of those being, with delegation you can provide liquidity and Hive Power to projects you believe in, and get rewarded along the way.
All while never losing your tokens and have the freedom to invest for as long as you want, as much as you want.
As for Holozing.....If this becomes the next 'Splinterlands' on the blockchain, I'll look like one of the smartest guys around lol At least that's what I'm telling my wife......
