Hello everybody,
Happy New Year!
This is my first post for the year 2023 in Hive. So, grateful I've done crocheting my Gratitude Bottle wrap yesterday without delay.
After reading about the benefits of Gratitude Bottle in the year 2018, which was one way of overcoming financial difficulty, I made my Gratitude Bottle right away then it was my yearly tradition since then, this year is my sixth year. I prepared my Gratitude Bottle yesterday, I cleaned it then dried. While holding the dried empty bottle, it was so bare so, in my mind I can crochet a wrap for it.
I searched right away yarns from my stash, preferably the lucky colors of the year 2023 which I googled. I found some - pink, light and dark blue, maroon, green and red.
It was my schedule to laundry the van cover but hmm I crochet instead.
No time wasted I crocheted the bottom starting with the maroon color making circle with simple stitches using indophil 3ply and 2.5 mm crochet hook.
After 5 rounds of maroon, I switch to old rose or pink color using the shell stitch crocheting the 1st round at the front side of my work then the next round at the back side of my work, just until 3rd round I switch to dark blue color.
I was having a difficulty crocheting this round because the dark blue is 4 ply, so thick for the 2.5mm hook. But I still continued for only one round because it has a nice embossed effect. Then, I shift to light blue color which is 8ply cotton little thin then the dark blue color, done it in 3 rows.
Next the green color which is 8 ply cotton using the granny stich, in 3 rounds.
Next and last color is the red orange in 6 rounds.
I then attached to the holes of the last row an orange cord and made it into a ribbon for grip.
Now, my Gratitude Bottle is ready for 2023 blessings!
How about you guys, let me see your Gratitude Bottle just comment down. If ever you still doesn't have one, you try this technique, who knows the universe will solve your financial constraint.
