Leaving behind the peaceful charm of Žilina, our next stop awaited us. And we headed our way to one of Europe’s most iconic, historic and vibrant cities in Europe-the capital of the Czech Republic.
The transition from Banská Bystrica and Zilina Slovakia had felt peaceful, calm and gentle. And going to other country in Prague, Czech Republic welcomed us with more movements, lots of people and energy.
From our train ride to Žilina to Prague, Aya was full of energy and enjoying the view and of course the food. It was a long ride and her excitement to visit Prague was contagious.
-The view from the train. We're almost there.-
As soon as we walked outside and the bustling atmosphere surrounded us. The whole station felt alive from travelers all over the world that constantly on the move. Because of the holiday season and the place making it even busier. Dragging our own luggage behind us over the cobblestones. And we wandered through Prague’s timeless streets as we headed to where we were staying.
Inside Pasáž Lucerna (Lucerna Passage), it is a popular public passageway and we spotted the famous upside-down horse sculpture. Created by the well-known Czech artist David Černý and the artwork is truly a masterpiece
Right outside, the street was busy. From cars, trams people moved in every direction. Everyone, including us, is heading somewhere.
Were dragging our own luggages, each step came with a bounce and the wheel caught between the cobblestones. That time kids were asking how far our place was. Each step we had somehow the beautiful place kept us amazed and admire the beauty around us.
Every corner's mix of old and new architecture and the streets are full of character and charm. Even on a busy street, the architecture made you feel like you were stepping into a historical painting and so fascinating.
View from our place.
Finally, we arrived at our place. We were all tired but the view of our place was so beautiful. We paused for a rest then we enjoyed our evening meal.
That evening was wonderful and started our evening exploring the beauty of Prague. As we continued our walk, the sidewalks were filled with lots of people. From tourists group, locals, families chatting and couples.
We went to the Old Town Square, it's more than the heart of the city. The atmosphere at night was festive with the cold winter air and golden lights made everything felt alive and warm.
Seeing up close the most iconic Prague Astronomical Clock proudly standing on the Old Town Hall Tower. The details are incredible and standing there felt like witnessing a living piece of history.
In the distance, the Church of Our Lady before Týn stood beautifully at night. The Gothic style towers looked both magical at night.
Statue of Josef Jungmann in Jungmannovo Square in Prague, Czech Republic.
Before the night ended, we went to Duck Boutique. And bought what Aya liked.😍
That evening, the beauty of Prague revealed a different kind of magic. Even on a busy night, people enjoyed strolling around the Old Town and there was a scent of calm beauty.
As we made our way back to our place, we felt tired but the night we wound never forgot. With full of heart and I want to return to the beautiful city, again and again. It's true that my husband says it takes more days to explore the beautiful and magical city of Prague.
