Hey hello everyone! So much happening always during the weekend and I am back again for a chance to win a ticket + accommodation for Steem Fest 4this year in Bangkok, Thailand from Actifit and Blocktrades! Steem Fest is exactly 71 days away and there is still so much to do and plan. I am definitely not missing my chance to get entries into the draw. In another 6 days, the ticket prices are going to become more expensive. A bunch of us are planning to purchase it sometime this week and if you are going then you should also think about getting those tixs out of the way by Saturday latest. Once again because I am working on being better with time, I am not going to wait until the last minute to get in case of any last minutes unforeseen circumstances. All the best to all of us who are working hard to get to SF 4!
Finally this weekend we got a break from all the hectic running around with the kiddos. No football because it was match week and Chapati hasn't really caught on to play actual real competition matches. Hopefully in another month or two he would be keen and then I have to think about the match jersey set which is going to cost us some RM160 (USD 40) for it. Sigh... yes more money that we have to budget for...
Anyway, I met up with a childhood friend earlier in the week and I was about 5 minutes late for our appointment as I got caught up with something in the office. I found her leaning over her phone trying to catch a Snorlax! Yup, we started talking about PoGo and suddenly she told me that she had started playing a new game also by Niantic which was Wizards Unite! Harry Potter, here I come. I loved Harry Potter. When the books came out, I made my sister carry every book as they came out over from the US for me and buried myself in them. I spent many hours lost in the world of Hogwarts, Quidditch, magical beasts and mysteries. I never quite liked the dark twists that it took with Voldemort but everything else was just glorious! Diagon Alley would have been my shopping district and I imagine building wealth that I would keep at Gringotts! LOL!
Ok so if you still don't know what I am talking about, it's the new game from Niantic that works like Pokemon Go but this is all about Harry Potter and the magical world! Hmm...maybe I will another post all about it! It is super fun and extremely novel because PoGo kind of lost its lustre for me some time back. Somehow this seems a lot more relatable...for me anyway!
Yes you got it right, I spent the weekend picking up my activities zapping goblins, death eaters, erklings and troll to return the "Foundables" to the magical realm. The graphics and the story line is cool and my kids started wondering what Mama was up to with her phone yelling when a Foundable was whisked away! (ie. similar when a pokemon flees!) How did I spend my Sunday? It was church and church was in Sunway Pyramid Convention Center again. It was full of inns, fortresses and greenhouses! Hubby was a little irritated at my stopping everywhere casting spells and getting into wizarding challenges... not to mention the thousands of people milling around in Sunway. So I found out that it was not a good idea with two rambunctious toddlers who couldn't care less for their own safety to have only one parent watching out for them! Duh!
We spent the rest of the day around the Cheras area, had a great late lunch at Uncle Don's and I barely made it to 15K because by 5 pm we were all trashed and wanted to go home to rest since we had been out since 10 am.
Hey if you play Wizards Unite, comment and let me know! Be my friend!
Xoxo,
Khim
p/s shucks...maybe I should have shared Splinterlands with my friend? It was the perfect chance to onboard someone totally outside of the blockchain world!
pp/s Hmm...Splinterlands is probably more lucrative but heck this is super fun!
