Antes que nada, ¡Feliz Navidad! espero la hayan pasado sumamente bien y hayan comido mucho 🤣, por ahí dicen que barriguita llena corazón contento 🤣, y justamente pensando en corazones, el día hoy nuevamente vengo con un proyecto de costura, ésta vez no va dirigido a mi mamá si no a mi 🤣, y es que desde hace mucho tiempo quería hacerme un top con ésta forma. También conocido como corte princesa, ésta forma de escote y estilo de prenda resulta muy versátil a la hora de combinarlo con otras prendas, además al hacerlo de tirantes, resulta adecuado para los cuerpos con forma de triángulo invertido, ya que disimula la amplitud de los hombros.

Also known as princess cut, this neckline shape and style of garment is very versatile when it comes to combine it with other garments, also when making it with straps, it is suitable for bodies with inverted triangle shape, as it disguises the breadth of the shoulders.

🧵 COMENCEMOS LA CONFECCIÓN || LET'S START THE MAKING ❤️
Para la confección de ésta prenda vamos a necesitar la medida de altura de busto y separación de busto. De ésta forma, comenzamos copiando el patrón básico hasta la cintura, desde el hombro hacia abajo marqué la medida de altura de busto y desde el borde del patrón hacia adentro mediremos la mitad de la separación de busto, hasta éste punto haremos llegar una pinza de 3cm que vendrá desde la cintura, estos 3cm los vamos a recuperar añadiendolos en la parte del lateral.
For the making of this garment we will need the bust height and the bust separation. In this way, we start copying the basic pattern up to the waist, from the shoulder downwards we mark the bust height measurement and from the edge of the pattern inwards we will measure half of the bust separation, up to this point we will make a 3cm clamp that will come from the waist, these 3cm we will recover by adding them in the side part.
En el hombro marcamos la mitad del mismo y uniremos éste punto con la pinza. Además escuadraremos la sisa, medimos ésta linea y la dividimos en 3, en la marca del tercer tercio vamos a escuadrar. Haremos una curva que llegue hasta el cruce de ésta línea y la línea del hombro, dicha cueva se unirá a la sisa.
On the shoulder, we mark the middle of the shoulder and join this point with the darts. We will also square the armhole, measure this line and divide it into 3, at the mark of the third third third we will square it. We will make a curve that will reach the intersection of this line and the shoulder line, this cave will be joined to the armhole.
Desde el cuello mediremos hacia abajo 12cm y uniremos está marca en curva con la otra curva. En la línea de la pinza, vamos a medir a cada lado 1.5cm y uniremos estas marcas a la línea del corte con cuevas. En en el lateral vamos a quitar 1,5cm que es por la elasticidad de la tela, y en la parte inferior añadiré 1cm. Cortamos y de ésta forma tenemos los patrones delanteros, hay que recordarle que al cortar en la tela hay que añadir los márgenes de costura.

Para el patrón de la espalda, vamos a empezar copiando el básico, añadiremos 3cm en el lateral y ubicamos el centro, allí haremos una pinza que llegará hasta la línea de la sisa, en el centro inferior nos adentramos 1cm y lo llevamos en pinza hasta la línea de la sisa, esto es para hacer una asentamiento del patrón. Aquí también quitamos el 1,5cm de elasticidad y añadimos 1cm en la parte inferior. Cortamos y tenemos el patrón, en la parte superior añadiremos 3cm de margen de costura para hacer un ruedo.
For the back pattern, we will start by copying the basic pattern, we will add 3cm on the side and we will place the centre, there we will make a darts that will reach the armhole line, in the bottom centre we will go 1cm and we will take it in darts to the armhole line, this is to make a settlement of the pattern. Here we also remove the 1,5cm of elasticity and add 1cm at the bottom. Cut and we have the pattern, at the top we will add 3cm seam allowance to make a hem.
Para hacer una vista en el escote, vamos a copiar la curva del escote central y justo donde acaba esa curva vamos a colocar el delantero lateral y terminar de copiar, a está vista le damos 3cm de ancho y solo le damos margen de costura en la parte superior y lateral.
To make a neckline view, we are going to copy the curve of the central neckline and just where this curve ends we are going to place the side front and finish copying, to this view we give it 3cm wide and we only give it seam allowance on the top and side.
Cortamos todas las piezas necesarias con los respectivos márgenes de costura y empezamos a coser. Unimos los delanteros laterales con el delantero central y así mismo unimos las dos espaldas centrales.
We cut out all the necessary pieces with the respective seam allowances and start sewing. We join the side fronts to the centre front and also join the two centre backs.
Aparte unimos a la espalda central las piezas laterales. De las piezas que cortamos también debemos cortar dos tiras de 5cm de ancho por la medida del recorrido desde la piezas hasta la espalda por el hombro. Cosemos estas dos piezas para hacer dos tiras finas y las ubicamos con alfileres en el punto más alto de la curva del escote.
Then we join the side pieces to the central back. From the pieces we cut, we also cut two 5cm wide strips along the length from the pieces to the back over the shoulder. We sew these two pieces together to make two thin strips and pin them at the highest point of the curve of the neckline.
Encima de esto colocamos la vista y cosemos por todo el escote, hacemos un piquete en el pico del corazón y volteamos, para mejor a acabado hacemos una costura de asentamiento. En la parte de la espalda haremos el ruedo de la parte superior y unimos al delantero por los laterales.
On top of this we place the facing and sew all around the neckline, we make a pique at the peak of the heart and turn it over, for a better finish we make a seam allowance. On the back we make the hem of the top and join the front at the sides.
De ésta forma ya solo queda ubicar las tiras en la espalda, que en mi caso lo quise hacer cruzado, y acabar con el ruedo de la parte inferior.
The only thing left to do now is to place the straps on the back, which in my case I wanted to make crosswise, and to finish with the hem at the bottom.
