Hello worldmappin fam 😊Let me take you to one of the gorgeous island in Palawan, Philippines. The island is called Banana island for its shaped like of the banana leaf not beacuse there is abundance of banana plant or banana fruit. The island is officially known as Dicalabuan island. A private island owned by the Gallego family Guido and Violeta. One of the best quiet stop on boat tours.
You can visit the island by a day tour the trip takes about an hour and a half from Coron, Palawan. The day tour entrance is 200pesos. The resort has eighteen rooms with own toilet and shower the overnight fee is around 1,300pesos per person per night. You can cook your food or let the workers cook for you.
There are hammocks hung from tall coconut trees in front of crystal clear water where you can chill, relax and take a nap. They also have pleasant picnic ground, mini stores that sells good selection of snacks.
I love this improvised swing. This kind of swing made from used wheel automobile reminds of my kindergarden school life where my classmates and I enjoyed swinging back and forth at my school playground and I was glad I found this wheel swing at Banana island just in front of the azure waters, makes me feel nostalgic.
For me Banana Island is unique from other near island because there is some part that is somewhat pebbly on the shoreline, if you don't want to walk through pebbly you can take a stroll on thier fine white sand at the northwest of Banana island.
You can do snorkeling and behold the beauty of the corals gardens and giant clams and fishes just a few meters from the shoreline of the island, the waters are deeper than the Malcapuya island that's why there are wonderful variety of marine sea life.
Banana island is the best escape for travelers looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. Where you can breath in the freshness of the ocean and breath out the stress of your life. See you next time on my travel escapade blog.😊
