I have watched so many wonderful presentations from my fellow Nigerians on the chain, and indeed I am impressed.
I am impressed not because

It's none of those!
I am impressed because many Nigerians still have hope that Nigeria will be great once more, and many still enkindle the flame in others.

Surprisingly, two years ago we saw the demonstration from the Nigerian Youths; they protested against Police Brutality.
Yes, it was surprising because no one expected that the "Lazy Nigerian Youths" will come out enmasse to demand for good governance and an end to Police Brutality; #EndSars.
We saw once more that the flame was enkindled, and that many Nigerians are now willing to move away from their comfort zones to demand for good governance from the Buharistic Government.
The Highpoint of this movement, the #EndSars movement, was on 20th of October 2020 (20/10/2020). Some of the Youths lost their lives in their quest for a Better Nation; demanding for good governance.
I remember staying glued to the Live Streamed Video by DJ Switch who was present at the night of the Lekki Massacre. These Youths were shot at while holding and waving the Nigerian flag, at the same time singing the National Anthem.
I witnessed the horrific and crude method they used to save the life of one of the Youths that was shot at, but he didn't survive. Yet, at the end, the Government still denied that a massacre happened.
Sorprendentemente, hace dos años vimos la manifestación de los jóvenes nigerianos; protestaron contra la brutalidad policial.
*Sí, fue sorprendente porque nadie esperaba que los "jóvenes nigerianos perezosos" salieran en masa a exigir un buen gobierno y el fin de la brutalidad policial; #EndSars.
Vimos una vez más que la llama se encendió, y que muchos nigerianos están ahora dispuestos a salir de sus zonas de confort para exigir una buena gobernanza al Gobierno buhonero.
El punto álgido de este movimiento, el movimiento #EndSars, fue el 20 de octubre de 2020 (20/10/2020). Algunos jóvenes perdieron la vida en su búsqueda de una nación mejor, exigiendo un buen gobierno.
Recuerdo haber estado pegado al vídeo transmitido en directo por DJ Switch, que estaba presente en la noche de la Masacre de Lekki, en la que se disparó a estos jóvenes mientras sostenían y ondeaban la bandera nigeriana, al tiempo que cantaban el himno nacional.
Fui testigo del horrible y burdo método que utilizaron para salvar la vida de uno de los jóvenes a los que dispararon, pero no sobrevivió. Sin embargo, al final, el Gobierno seguía negando que se hubiera producido una masacre.
This post isn't meant to expose the ills of the Nigerian government neither is it dedicated to describing the horrific scene, if it were I would have tagged it as NSFW, and probably won't be able to post in the Hive Open Mic Community.
But, this post is dedicated to those falling heroes who lost their lives in the fight for good governance, especially those who died on 20th October 2020 (20/10/2020). Few days from now will be their 2nd Memorial, and I think dedicating this piece to them is apt.

We hope their death won't be in vain, as we still struggle to Take Back Naija from the hands of the greedy and selflish rulers.

Pero, este post está dedicado a los héroes caídos que perdieron la vida en la lucha por el buen gobierno, especialmente a los que murieron el 20 de octubre de 2020 (20/10/2020). Dentro de unos días se celebrará su segundo memorial, y creo que dedicarles este artículo es adecuado.

Esperamos que su muerte no sea en vano, ya que seguimos luchando por Recuperar Naija de las manos de los codiciosos y desinteresados gobernantes.
