Agua de lluvia.
Como parte importante de la naturaleza, estamos inmersos y regidos por las condiciones ambientales, que dicta la sabia madre tierra; y a pesar de estar en el ápice de la escala evolutiva, como seres humanos nuestra responsabilidad con el resguardo de la condiciones ambientales es aún mayor; y a cambio del cumplimiento de ese mandato divino, podemos gozar de las bondades que nos brinda nuestro ecosistema. El famoso dicho reza "Después de la tormenta llega la calma", esa fantástica ducha espontánea, llega y lava todo nuestro ambiente y al pasar nos deja una serie de beneficios, que a veces no percibimos.

As an important part of nature, we are immersed and governed by the environmental conditions dictated by the wise mother earth; and despite being at the apex of the evolutionary scale, as human beings our responsibility with the safeguard of the environmental conditions is even greater; and in exchange for the fulfillment of this divine mandate, we can enjoy the benefits that our ecosystem offers us. The famous saying goes "After the storm comes the calm", that fantastic spontaneous shower, comes and washes our entire environment and in passing it leaves us a series of benefits, which sometimes we do not perceive.

Lluvia fresca sobre las ciudades gemelas.
Recuerdo que en mis años de liceo, solía llover durante horas y horas, era algo normal pasar todo un día encerrados en casa, esperando sin éxito, que cesara el aguacero para salir a jugar; pero uno de esos días, el palo de agua nos sorprendió ya estando en clases; aquello no paraba y parecía incrementar su intensidad, terminamos al mediodía y al salir, las calles estaban inundadas, eran los años 90 y los horarios eran todo el día. Aquella tempestad inundó los pasillos de la escuela técnica industrial y fue motivo de suspensión de las actividades académicas.
I remember that in my high school years, it used to rain for hours and hours, it was normal to spend a whole day locked up at home, waiting unsuccessfully for the downpour to stop and go out to play; but one of those days, the downpour surprised us while we were already in class; it did not stop and seemed to increase its intensity, we finished at noon and when we left, the streets were flooded, it was the 90's and the schedules were all day. That storm flooded the corridors of the industrial technical school and was the reason for the suspension of academic activities.
Por supuesto que las calles colapsaron, luego de casi 8 horas de lluvia sin cesar (actualmente con poco más de 1 hora, se inunda toda la ciudad). Esa situación acarreó la suspensión del servicio de transporte y nos fuimos caminando en grupos hasta nuestros hogares; durante el camino hicimos nuevas amistades, con estudiantes de otros institutos y aquello parecía un desfile de jóvenes por las calles principales; sin embargo el trayecto de unos 8 kilómetros, se nos hizo ameno y muy divertido, caminando sin ningún tipo de cuidados, por las canales anegadas, algo que hoy día es sinónimo de enfermedades jajaja.
Of course the streets collapsed, after almost 8 hours of non-stop rain (currently with a little more than 1 hour, the whole city is flooded). This situation led to the suspension of the transportation service and we walked in groups to our homes; along the way we made new friends with students from other institutes and it seemed like a parade of young people through the main streets; however, the journey of about 8 kilometers, was enjoyable and fun, walking without any care, through the flooded canals, something that today is synonymous with diseases hahaha.
Aquella tardes llegué a casa sin ninguna preocupación y con la alegría de haber vivido una aventura inesperada; me sentí como un héroe, contándole a los demás que me vine caminando desde el liceo hasta la casa jajaja. Algunos años después, durante los días lluviosos solía escuchar música romántica durante horas (Hoy día al caer las primeras gotas, explotan los transformadores y se va la luz durante horas, a veces días); así que también era una oportunidad propicia para el romanticismo, con taza de café en mano, compartía con amigos que llegaban a casa para conversar, mientras sonaban nuestros grupos favoritos del momento.
That afternoon I arrived home without any worries and with the joy of having lived an unexpected adventure; I felt like a hero, telling others that I walked from the high school to the house hahaha. Some years later, during rainy days I used to listen to romantic music for hours (today when the first drops fall, the transformers explode and the power goes out for hours, sometimes days); so it was also a good opportunity for romanticism, with a cup of coffee in hand, I shared with friends who came home to talk, while our favorite groups of the moment were playing.
Después de tantos años y en otras circunstancias, me volvía a bañar bajo la lluvia (hace una semana); la bomba que surte la comunidad se había dañado y teníamos varios días sin el vital líquido; así que aprovechando que teníamos poca agua potable y previamente hubo un fuerte calor, llamé a mis hijos y ellos al verme en el patio, no dudaron en correr para hacerme compañía; era la primera vez que ellos se bañaban bajo la regadera del cielo, lo hicimos durante casi una hora y fue la tarde más feliz para ellos jajaja. Obviamente, mi esposa se molestó, por el tema de las gripes y alergias, pero fue algo espontáneo y maravilloso.
After so many years and in other circumstances, I bathed again under the rain (a week ago); the pump that supplies the community had been damaged and we had several days without the vital liquid; so taking advantage that we had little drinking water and previously there was a strong heat, I called my children and when they saw me in the yard, they did not hesitate to run to keep me company; it was the first time they bathed under the shower of heaven, we did it for almost an hour and it was the happiest afternoon for them hahaha. Obviously, my wife was upset, because of the flu and allergies, but it was something spontaneous and wonderful.
En mi opinión personal, los días lluviosos son un poco nostálgicos, porque recuerdo mis años de infancia familiar; pero también me trae gratos recuerdos de mi adolescencia y las tardes románticas, al ritmo de las gotas de agua, que sonaban incesantes sobre el techo de mi cuarto. La lluvia es sagrada, la lluvia es vida y tras su paso, reverdecen los campos y las flores engalanan el paisaje. Haberme encontrado de nuevo, bajo una de las fases del ciclo del agua, me hizo sentir como aquel niño que aún existe en mí. Definitivamente la lluvia influye en mi estado de ánimo y forma parte de mi vida.
In my personal opinion, rainy days are a bit nostalgic, because I remember my childhood family years; but it also brings back pleasant memories of my adolescence and romantic evenings, to the rhythm of the water drops, which sounded incessantly on the roof of my room. Rain is sacred, rain is life and after its passage, the fields become green and the flowers decorate the landscape. Having found myself again, under one of the phases of the water cycle, made me feel like that child that still exists in me. Rain definitely influences my mood and is part of my life.
