SONG OF THE DAY (#02)
CANCIÓN DEL DÍA (#02)
Hello everyone. Yesterday I started sharing the "song of the day" with all of you. This is a post that I really enjoy doing because music is what I enjoy the most in my day to day life and to share a little of what I like with all of you, it seems like a great opportunity to get to know each other a little more. I hope you enjoy my selection for today.
For today's song I wanted to choose something a little different from yesterday's. This is a very special song for me. I was a teenager when I bought this Morrissey album called "Vauxhall And I", I remember not stopping listening to it, but there was a song that immediately connected with me and it is this that I present to you today: "Now My Heart Is Full". Morrissey is a genius who, while he has received a lot of recognition throughout his career, I think he deserves even more.
Now My Heart Is Full".
This song was composed by Morrissey and Boz Boorer, with whom he also shares songwriting credit on songs like "Maladjusted", "I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris" and "Jacky's Only Happy When She's Up on the Stage". For Morrissey this song was very important because it took him to another level, a little more mature and more adult. He even said in 1995 that he could have retired after this song, as he was very happy to have reached this state and to have been able to sing this song.

Previously, when there was the thrill of opening a cd and seeing the art, smelling it, etc. I remember that I barely had it in my hands this was the first song I heard, this because it is the first song on the album. A song that takes me back to times when music played an immensely important role in my life, as it was my escape from stress, depression and anxiety. That is why I remember these songs so fondly.
I hope you hear it and enjoy this piece of art, which is my second pick for "song of the day."
MORRISSEY - NOW MY HEART IS FULL
There's gonna be some trouble
A whole house will need re-building
And everyone I love in the house
Will recline on an analyst's couch quite soon
Your father cracks a joke
And in the usual way
Empties the room
Tell all of my friends
I don't have too many
Just some rain-coated lovers' puny brothers
Dallow, Spicer, Pinkie, Cubitt
Rush to danger
Wind up nowhere
Patric Doonan, raised to wait
I'm tired again, I've tried again, and
Now my heart is full
Now my heart is full
And I just can't explain
So I won't even try to
Dallow, Spicer, Pinkie, Cubitt
Every jammy Stressford poet
Loafing oafs in all-night chemists
Loafing oafs in all-night chemists
Underact, express depression
Ah, but Bunnie I loved you
I was tired again
I've tried again, and
Now my heart is full
Now my heart is full
And I just can't explain
So I won't even try to
Could you pass by?
Could you pass by?
Could you pass by?
Could you pass by?
Could you pass by?
Oh
Now my heart is full
Now my heart is full
And I just can't explain
So so
So so so so so
