We've Entered a New Phase!

A year ago, Ladies of Hive came into existence as a community that focuses on women — their interests, joys, passions, and share stories of their journey in life. Our mission is to empower and encourage female/feminine/femme-identifying voices on Hive: to support, uplift, and learn from one another.

With the recent launch of the Ladies of Hive token known as LADY (LOH) three months ago, we've entered a completely new phase in our community. We hope that this will take us to a new level.

The LADY (LOH) token was created to encourage the Ladies on Hive members to posts in the LOH community. LADY (LOH) tokens are earned by entering the Ladies of Hive contest, and effective immediately, will be distributed as well to anyone who posts under the Ladies of Hive Community Page.

We believe that you should be rewarded for the time and effort spent in creating articles. The goal is to encourage token holders to accumulate and hold LOH tokens over a long period of time.

We have seen accounts of a small number of people with the intention of farming rewards. They post an article, receive the token, and shortly afterwards dump the token. This poses a significant risk to the long-term sustainability of the system and needs to be addressed right away.

A Block List had to be created for LOH token abusers. Those who sold or are selling LOH are in the Block List, and are not eligible to receive any more tokens (defined as: Those who sell within a month of receipt of tokens for amounts less than the value of 1 HIVE).

Please keep the LOH mission in mind. Please don't do this to our community. If you feel that you are in this list and wish to be removed, or you feel there was an error, please contact any of the moderators and we will make it right!

Staking could be enabled, but there's a $BEE fee involved. Until we are able to save up for the fee, that project will have to wait.

In the meantime, holding onto your tokens may mean a hefty reward down the road, although there are no guarantees. Only YOU can determine that.

Effective December 1, 2021 we will reduce token rewards to two tokens for entering the contest and to one token for posting any article in the Ladies of Hive Community. This will make the token more scarce. Also, to be eligible for the tokens, you must have posted twice previously to the Ladies of Hive Community. Additionally, we will increase token rewards as follows:

As with any reductions to the rewards and the additional qualification for eligibility for token rewards, we understand that some will be upset about the change. But it is critically important to all long-term users of Ladies of Hive that rewards earned are proportional to the assets held.

Feel free to trade you tokens. However, trade responsively, keeping the mission of Ladies and Hive in your hearts and minds. Remember that trading your LADY (LOH) token is opening the gates to the greater community.
