I used to do fall fashion portraits every year as the leaves started to change. It was a fun annual shoot, and it was definitely a missing piece this year as the shutdowns continue to make everything more difficult.
But the last time I was in Utah for a fall fashion shoot, we did it on a breezy day, and when the wind picked up just right, the leaves flew around the model in a tantalizing dance.
Moment like this are incredibly brief, and really are luck-of-the-draw. But it's one of the reasons I actually like playing around on a windy day -- if you're patient with it, you might just catch a little magic.
