I was out riding my motorcycle last week just going to visit a friend in the next barangay. Nothing special planned just cruising along the roads like I usually do. Then all of a sudden I saw a big sign on the side that said “Dingalan Bay View Site Barangay Tanawan”. I did not know this place was here before!
I hit the brakes and pulled over right away because even from
far off the view look amasing. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and started taking lots of photos I could not stop because everything just looked so good. My arms were a little tired but I forgot all about it.
When you stand at the viewpoint you can see everything so clear. The big Sierra Madre mountains just go right down to the sea like they are touching Dingalan Bay. The water is not just one color either. Close to the shore it’s bright blue and almost see through.
Then when you look far out it gets lighter like it’s mixing with the sky above. When the wind blows a little you can watch small waves rolling in and hitting the rocks. It looks so calm and nice. There are big rocks sticking out of the water too.
They are all different shapes and sizes some tall and pointy others round and flat. It’s like nature made them just to make the view better. Everywhere around the viewpoint there’s green stuff trees grass and lots of plants. It feels fresh and alive.
The air here is really nice too. It’s clean and cool even when the sun is up. When you take a deep breath you can smell the ocean and the grass from the hills. Sometimes birds fly high up in the sky they look like they are having fun.
A lot of people say this place is the “Batanes of the East”. I have never been to Batanes but i have seen pictures it looks just as pretty. The best part is it’s right here in Aurora no need for buses or planes! There’s more to see in Dingalan too.
You can ride to Mabato Beach where rocks are bigger than small houses and water is super clear. There’s an underground river for fun and Mt. Dingalan to climb for more views. Caragsacan has beaches to relax with family or friends. Our town is way cooler than I thought!
