Hi, ammonite. I saw you peeked into my blog, and so I peeked back.
I want to say I am truly sorry for your loss. Reading your words, it’s clear how deeply you loved Clodagh, and how deeply she loved you and your son. Such Love is a great blessing; I wanted to remind you of that.
And as such, Love like that doesn’t simply end. It changes its place. It moves into memory, into the stories you will tell, into the quiet moments when you remember her smile or something she used to say. And in the future, it will live on in the way you raise your son, in the values you pass on, and in the warmth you continue to give him.
Your son is very fortunate to have a father who loved his mother so much. Through you, he will always know who she was. Through you, her kindness, her strength, and her spirit will continue to shape his life.
Take things one day at a time. The Love you built together is still there, and it will continue to guide both of you forward. Immortality endures through memory.
In these situations, we all feel powerless. But the mind is powerful. So I am sending you and your son strength, peace, and gentle moments of light along the way. I will project faith in both of you. The world needs kindred spirits. I have no doubt you both are that.
🖖
