Hola amigos de #humanitas , siguiendo con la Iniciativa de Humanitas del mes de Julio , ayer tocaba hablar sobre el transhumanismo pero no me dio tiempo. Por eso hoy quiero aprovechar la oportunidad para hablar de este tema.
Hello friends of #humanitas , following with the Humanitas Initiative of the month of July Yesterday I was supposed to talk about transhumanism but I didn't have time. So today I want to take the opportunity to talk about this topic.
La idea de poder mejorar la vida de personas que han sufrido de alguna amputación, algun problema visual o auditivo, usar marcapasos es una forma de facilitar la vida de mucha gente; por otro lado estan las ideas transhumanistas de que el ser humano en algun punto se convierta en un cyborg, mas parecido a un robot que a un ser humano que lejos de ser ciencia ficción cada dia estamos mas cerca de esa realidad. En mi opinión las personas que se vayan a convertir en mas seres electronicos que humanos, serán las personas con status social, y mayor suerte economica, es como si el transhumanismo o mejor dicho el posthumano (el cyborg) fuese otra raza, a la cual accederán unos pocos, los demás seres humanos tendran acceso a otras tecnologias de mejor vanguardia.
The idea of being able to improve the lives of people who have suffered from an amputation, some visual or hearing problem, using pacemakers is a way to facilitate the lives of many people; on the other hand there are the transhumanist ideas that the human being at some point becomes a cyborg, more like a robot than a human being that far from being science fiction every day we are closer to that reality. In my opinion the people who will become more electronic beings than humans, will be people with social status, and greater economic luck, it is as if the transhumanism or rather the posthuman (the cyborg) was another race, which will access a few, the other human beings will have access to other technologies of better cutting edge.
Entonces las ideas transhumanas no son en beneficio de todos como humanidad, lo que para mi es un sin sentido. Los intentos de mejorar como sociedad fallan si como siempre y como en muchas situaciones muchos de los que mas necesitan el implante, la protesis o lo que sea que necesitan no tendrán acceso a estas costosas tecnologías a menos que alguien se apiade de ellos.
So transhuman ideas are not for the benefit of all as humanity, which to me is nonsense. Attempts to improve as a society fail if as always and as in many situations many of those who most need the implant, prosthesis or whatever it is they need will not have access to these expensive technologies unless someone takes pity on them.
Para algo existen las ciencias sociales y hay muchos problemas sociales, como la delincuencia, la anarquia, la inmigración, la emigración que no se resuelven con ideas transhumanistas... Se resuelven con leyes que protejan a los ciudadanos, que protejan a los ciudadanos contra los hackeos, que protejan la privacidad de los ciudadanos, leyes que regulen la violencia. Usar la tecnologia sin ley que la regule es como vivir en el lejano oeste, porque la tecnologia es una oportunidad y también es una amenaza cuando atenta de alguna forma contra los derechos humanos y eso es indiscutible. A nadie le gustaria sentir que pueden acceder a su mente, porque esta conectado a la red. Que es practicamente como uno se siente a veces que aprecen anuncios a medida del usuario en las redes sociales , a lo cual uno se siente constantemente vigilado con todo nuestro movimiento de busquedas y vistas de contenido.
Social sciences exist for a reason and there are many social problems, such as delinquency, anarchy, immigration, emigration that are not solved with transhumanist ideas.... They are solved with laws that protect citizens, that protect citizens against hacks, that protect the privacy of citizens, laws that regulate violence. Using technology without a law to regulate it is like living in the Wild West, because technology is an opportunity and it is also a threat when it somehow infringes on human rights and that is indisputable. Nobody would like to feel that they can access your mind, because you are connected to the network. That is practically how one feels sometimes that sometimes there are advertisements tailored to the user in social networks, to which one feels constantly watched with all our movement of searches and views of content.

Por otro lado aunque la tecnología ha avanzado mucho en terminos de chips cerebrales, protesis con inteligencia artificial y otras tencnologias, hay enfermedades que en mi opinion dificultan la materialización al 100% del transhumanismo, esas enfermedades que no tienen cura como muchos tipos de canceres, lupus, arteroesclerosis, diabetes, trombosis venosa profunda, osteoporosis ya que estas enfermedades por lo complicadas y degenerativas que son dificultan mucho que personas con estas enfermedades puedan formar parte de los "superhumanos" o posthumanos (cyborgs).
Por eso insisto en que el transhumanismo no es para todos y en mi opinión no siempre incluirá a quienes mas sufren.
On the other hand, although technology has advanced a lot in terms of brain chips, prostheses with artificial intelligence and other technologies, there are diseases that in my opinion hinder the 100% materialization of transhumanism, those diseases that have no cure such as many types of cancers, lupus, atherosclerosis, diabetes, deep vein thrombosis, osteoporosis, because these diseases are so complicated and degenerative that make it very difficult for people with these diseases to be part of the "superhumans" or posthumans (cyborgs).
That is why I insist that transhumanism is not for everyone and in my opinion will not always include those who suffer the most.
