Hi all 👋🏻
I wanted to show you today one of my earlier graphite drawings with the title: “Wood & Wire” I drew in 2012.
The finished drawing is 18 x 29 cm / 7.1 x 11.4 inch.
Reference photo used with permission from Evelyn Spikes.
I finished this painting in June 2012. I started my art in 2011 with airbrushing. And had still lots to learn…
This original drawing is still for sale and all kind of prints from this work, on different objects, are available at My Pixels Print Shop!
As said: Here are my SBS’s of creating it, Enjoy 😊
Step 1
As you can see I sketched lightly the main forms and started on the left side with drawing in shapes and structures, light and dark.
I use in this work graphite pencils in the range of 2H to 6B. But mostly the softer pencils.
Step 2
A little bit further.
Here you see more of the wood evolving. I tend not to build the entire sketch up in layers, but as it is a small work, I decided to finish it little bit by little bit.
Step 3
First wooden pole finished, up to the horizontal beams and next pole.
Step 4
I made more progress…
I don’t have the following steps as it has been a while ago. But in future new artworks I will document it properly… promised 🤞🏻😊
Step 5
Finished drawing:
I present to you…
“Wood & Wire”
Thank you for looking and reading. I hope you enjoyed my little Step by Step of this earlier work of a Fence drawing. 😊
Any questions or comments, let me know. Always happy to help.😊 And talk about art.
Have a great Monday all 😎👋🏻
