Hola my dear travellers! Hello to each and everyone here in this lovely community! I hope all of you are doing fine and happy right now. It's been a while since I posted my travel blogs here and here I am again
to share another lovely adventure I had last month.
Last week of January 2026, we celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday in a very refreshing and memorable way. Instead of the usual celebration, we decided to go somewhere peaceful and close to nature, and this is at "FarmPlate" in Gabawan, Daraga, Albay. It was actually my first time visiting the place, so I was really excited to finally experience it.
As soon as we arrived and paid for the entrance fee, we were immediately welcomed by tall trees and cool, fresh air. Even though the weather was a bit rainy that day, there were still many people enjoying the place. The soft drizzle somehow made everything feel more relaxing and romantic. The greenery looked even more vibrant, and the breeze felt so clean and calming.
Since we were a big group, we climbed up a small hill and chose an area with along table and chairs so we could all sit together comfortably. From there, you could really see how wide and beautiful the whole place is. It was the perfect spot to celebrate, laugh, and take lots of photos.
One of the most special parts of our visit was seeing the "smallest chapel" in the Philippines, which is also located inside the FarmPlate. Outside the chapel, there is a big image of Papa Jesus that immediately catches my attention. It made the place even more solemn and sacred.
When we went inside, I was amazed to see so many rosaries hanging on every wall. There were countless of rosaries displayed beautifully, making the small chapel feel full of faith and devotion. Even though the chapel is tiny, it carries such a peaceful and heartfelt atmosphere. There are cows too that you can watch eating grass on the side of the chapel.
We also enjoyed feeding the many pigeons around the area. It was so fun watching them gather and fly around us. The mini houses scattered around the farm were also very cute, like little cottages from a fairytale. There are also stores available in case you get hungry, which is very convenient.
For those who want to stay longer, they offer camping sites with tents for rent, rooms for check-ins, and even a jacuzzi for guests who want to relax more.
It was truly a meaningful celebration surrounded by nature, faith, and family. A birthday we will always remember.
And that's it for today's travel adventure! Thank you for dropping by and taking the time to read my story. This means a lot to me. I hope to see you on my next one! Have a nice day ahead to all of us.
