El tiempo avanza y con el llegan las innovaciones tecnológicas. Desde que el boom de la inteligencia artificial llegó a oídos de todos, son muchos los comentarios sobre su utilidad, algunos escépticos y otros más visionarios, lo cierto es que nadie puede negar que el uso de esta tecnología está cambiando las reglas del juego en muchos aspectos. Mucho se habla de que la IA podría reemplazar el trabajo humano, yo soy más de los que la ven como una herramienta y desde que supe que en el mundo de la moda ya se estaba adoptando la IA como una nueva rama, fueron demasiadas las buenas ideas que rondaron mi mente.

En primer lugar me llamó la atención el hecho de que los fashion sketches o ilustraciones de moda pudiesen realizarse con IA, incluso puedes realizar tu boceto a mano ya que realmente los diseñadores amamos este paso pues forma parte de nuestro proceso creativo y posteriormente con ayuda de la IA, utilizando un buen prompt, digitalizarlo y ver la prenda recreada en un modelo sin necesidad de haber confeccionado la prenda y realizado una sesión de fotos.

Se me hace imposible verlo como algo negativo ya que es una herramienta que utilizada de la mejor manera, ha llegado para agilizar nuestros procesos, la IA por si sola no podría crear algo que nace en nuestra mente, se necesitan conocimientos tanto en moda para poder transmitirle eficazmente lo que deseas lograr a la IA, como conocimiento en el manejo del programa, no es tan fácil como escribir 4 palabras y obtener como por arte de magia un diseño idéntico a lo que imaginaste. Lo cierto es que la inteligencia artificial ha llegado para quedarse y prueba de ello es que desde hace un par de años ya se está realizando la IA fashion week, donde los diseñadores pueden competir con una colección diseñada con inteligencia artificial y obtener como premio la confección total de la colección, llevándola a la vida real y comercializándola en distintas plataformas de e-commerce.

Sabemos que con IA podemos crear cosas inimaginables si dejamos volar nuestra imaginación, prendas futuristas muy a lo cyber punk, por esto, uno de los requisitos para participar en la AIFW es que tu colección pueda ser recreada en la vida real, así que nada de piezas voladoras o rayos laser (por ahora).
