First of all, Thank you for this custom banner.. I love it. It's great to belong to a community that is so caring. Ever since I first joined Steemit, I never really felt a sense of true belonging till now. I have seen my account grow tremendously after I started posting here. Justin, who founded this community puts in lots of effort that is why this community is going strong and to the moon.
I am going to put this banner up here first and the next post onwards, I will put it at the end of the post.
A great day at the park. I got there slightly late so I did not do much jogging but instead took loads of photos.
The Miri city council building
Since the last time I was here probably somewhere last month, I've seen this building go up. It is almost completed with some work left before it opens. I think this building took less than a year or two to build. I can't wait to go in when it's done and see what it looks like. This building is next to a popular park where families gather and joggers do their daily jogs.
My wife in her new sneakers.
The trail. Paved with bricks... not sure what those are called. There are miles of pathway to jog. The weather is kind today. The beach runs along this park, so you will constantly feel the sea breeze.
The well trimmed grass. Clean enough to sit down or lie down and sleep. Many people do that here on Sundays.
The city where palm trees are in an abundance. I think most of them are imported and these trees are watered quite often. The location of the Marina area here in the city is next to the business district.
The four pillars standing there are what you see when you come to this park. Sometimes, they get vandalized. Shame on those vandals.
Adequate seating benches for families. There is also a washroom that is cleaner than those found in most places in the city. Sometimes, snakes are spotted hiding in those dark spots beneath those benches.
Many cars today. Can you spot my car? It is the first car in the picture that you see.
The pond in the middle of the park. I guess, when the weather gets got, the water evaporates increasing the humidity in case it gets too hot.
Lots of palm trees. Miri loves palm trees. There are so many of them in the city.
The last time I was here, this patch of land was full of plastic bottles but have been removed. It looks a lot better now. There is another trail here where you jog along the beach. Those huge stone structures are placed there to prevent any form of erosion from the sea.
It was getting dark while I shot this picture. There are small little tiny dots far far into the horizon. Those are oil rigs and off shore tankers. There are tons of them in the ocean.
The waves. Relaxes the mind. The beautiful colours of the sky when the sun while the sun set. These are moments in life that from my view are priceless. The moments in our life where we can enjoy them. Everytime I go to a place, no matter if its the same place, it is going to be different for me. The people, the rocks, the waves ,the feeling.
Hope you enjoy reading. Have a great day.
