Gusto en saludarlos queridos hivers, les cuento que hoy todos en Venezuela amanecimos felices por el gran triunfo de la selección de béisbol de mi país en contra de Estados Unidos en el partido final del clásico mundial de beisbol.

Este juego estuvo muy emocionante hasta el último inning dejando a todos los que vimos el juego muy complacidos con la gran actuación de estos peloteros, como pueden ver nos reunimos en casa de mi madre y junto a mis hijos vimos este gran partido que termino como a las 11 de la noche, lo disfrutamos inning a inning aprovechando de explicarle mas que todo a mi hijo menor las reglas del béisbol para que le tome amor a este maravilloso deporte que a mi en lo particular me encanta.

Después del triunfo, las caravanas y los fuegos artificiales no se hicieron esperar en las calles de mi país, todos celebrando la victoria con mucho entusiasmo; con la buena noticia que hoy fue decretado como día de jubilo nacional, por lo que muchos connacionales amanecieron de fiesta ya que no teníamos trabajo, además hace pocos momentos se conoció la noticia que gracias a este gran triunfo el 18 de marzo quedo como fecha de celebración a partir de ahora siendo decretado el día nacional del béisbol venezolano. It’s a pleasure to greet you, dear Hivers. I’m happy to share that today, everyone in Venezuela woke up feeling joyful thanks to the great victory of my country’s baseball team over the United States in the final game of the World Baseball Classic.

The game was incredibly exciting right up until the last inning, leaving all of us who watched it thoroughly impressed by the players’ outstanding performance. As you can see, we gathered at my mother’s house, and together with my children, we watched this great game, which ended around 11 p.m. We enjoyed it inning by inning, taking the opportunity to explain the rules of baseball—mostly to my youngest son—so he’ll grow to love this wonderful sport that I, for one, absolutely love.

After the victory, parades and fireworks quickly filled the streets of my country, with everyone celebrating the win with great enthusiasm; with the good news that today was declared a national day of celebration, so many of my fellow countrymen woke up to a day of festivities since we didn’t have to work. Furthermore, just a few moments ago, the news broke that thanks to this great victory, March 18 will now be celebrated as Venezuelan Baseball Day. And you, friends, did you watch the game?
