What Is GHAWG?
#GHAWG is short for "God's Hog: A Watchful Guardian." This fictional story tells how David Guardia, a courier and business owner from Bayonne, New Jersey, US moved into the next phase of his life after spending the final ten years of his ailing father's life helping him.
More details can be found in the first post of this weekly recap.

- A mini-dust storm came to let us escape
- Children loved Manny Rey
- Men with harm in their hearts feared him
- Someone left a map for me to review
- Manny Rey determined that I would be OK for whatever the future had for me
ποΈ Had there not been that mini-dust storm, #GHAWG could have ended right then and there. But then what kind of serial would it have been?
ποΈ Children love that which they do not fear. This is in comparison to people who mean to cause harm to others, if not outright evil. Evil fears The Lord, and those representing Him. It's why they tend to overreact or overkill.
ποΈ This was the last time we would see Manny Rey's uncanny predictive powers displayed. Soon, in later zapfic entries, we will see why those powers were uncanny.

After reviewing the behind-the-scenes version of my ride to Sturgis I found myself speaking to Manny Rey, or someone who resembled him. I had questions. He had answers. Among them was the biggest answer to the smallest question.
ποΈ This is the first time during David Guardia's near-death experience that we see content unrelated to earlier zapfic entries.
ποΈ Before the dawn of e-commerce, people would buy nearly everything in brick-and-mortar stores, including chain stores. One of these was Radio Shack, which specialized in electrical supplies, electronic supplies, and IPM PC-compatible computers. One of Radio Shack's slogans was "You have questions, we have answers."

My Q&A with Manny Rey, or his facsimile, had enough Q's to span the running time for The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. He also told me my parents are happy with how I took care of my father during his last decade.
ποΈ The series premiere for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, "Emissary," took place at a vacated Cardassian space station near the planet Bajor. For 70 years the Bajorans waged resistance against their Cardassian overlords. A deeply religious people, the Bajorans believed in deities they called "The Prophets." These deities are non-corporeal beings who live a non-linear existence inside a wormhole under their control. Benjamin Sisko, a Starfleet officer named commanding officer of this space station, discovers that The Prophets had a mission for him. To better communicate with Sisko, The Prophets assumed the forms of people Sisko had known through his life (family, friends, Starfleet, etc.).

David Guardia was speaking to what he thought was Manny Rey, only it was The Lord.
ποΈ One of the biggest concerns adult children caring for their parents have after they have departed is if they did the right thing for their parents. The final moments they have with their parents may not be ideal, but overall they may have handled things well enough. Usually these adult children don't learn the answer to that question until it's their turn to see them again. David Guardia was given the gift of knowledge that he could rest easy going forward because he fulfilled his duties as a son to his father.

Although I could have kept asking questions, there wasn't more for me to know at that time. That's when Manny Rey explained to me that in life there are prophets, priests, and kings. "I need you to fulfill your role as prophet."
ποΈ We're all called upon to assume a role. We are all, in some form or other, prophets, priests, and kings ("kings" meaning rulers or royalty, so in this context women are included). Ideally we are all of these at the same time; usually we transition from one role to another, and sometimes we switch back and forth among those roles. Each role acts as a check on the others: usually prophets deliver messages to kings, but occasionally The Lord uses prophets to deliver His Message to the priests to make sure they stay on the path.

I blinked a few times.
"_You_ need me⦠To be _what??_"
When it dawned on me who had been
talking with me, that's when The Lord
slowly nodded.
"You know all you need to know
to deliver My message to My people.
In your style."
ποΈ This is when David Guardia realizes he was having an out-of-body or near-death experience. He thought he was speaking to Manny Rey, but Manny Rey was simply a recognizable form The Lord took in order to communicate with David. This continued the "Emissary" motif established Zapfic Entry 80.

The Lord ended His conversation-- more like meeting-- with me. He had given me more instructions, but He said they would be available to me when I needed them. Next thing I know, I see about a dozen doctors and nurses around me.
ποΈ It took a while-- not just within the world established in #GHAWG but also in threads published at LeoThreads-- but the flashbacks and near-death experience are over. Now the zapfic serial takes a different turn.
8οΈβ£4οΈβ£ 2023-May-31 00:14:12
"What just happened here?"
I asked the people around me.
"You just came out of a coma."
"Coma? I thought I just got
verygood dope." A couple of
nurses chuckled.
"It was a good 5 hours."
"5 hours? Your coma lasted 10 days."
ποΈ The best sleep many of us get is actually while we are under anesthesia. Even for a half-hour procedure such as a colonoscopy we get knocked out so that the doctors and nurses can get the procedure done. That half-hour (plus additional time in recovery) usually features the best sleep any of us have had for a while. David Guardia thought it was something like that but a bit longer.
ποΈ Near the beginning of the zapfic serial, as he was taking care of his father, David Guardia found himself asking who would be his guardian. Upon further review, we can make these statements:
The Lord was watching over him all this time;
He sent Manny Rey to guide him for part of his ride to Sturgis; and
Hospital personnel kept him alive at the most basic level as he was living out his near-death experience

Story Arc So Far
David Guardia got to see events from his life from the perspective of a spectator. When this was done, he found himself talking to Manny Rey; only it wasn't Manny Rey. During the course of this coversation, he realized he was having a conversation with The Lord. This is when he realizes that his life had led him to that moment, and as of then he had a mission to fulfill. This is when he regains consciousness in a hospital in eastern Iowa.

Zapfic Entries 85-91 see David Guardia trying to get out of the Iowa hospital. People see him in a full body cast, so they don't believe he is healed. X-rays prove otherwise, and news of this miracle spreads throughout the hospital. It's big enough news to bring in a certain at-large reporter and journalist for an interview. Act 3 begins.
GHAWG itself continues at LeoThreads, where Act 3 rolls on. In STURGIS, Harry Hoqualogue makes peace with David Guardia.
