Hablar acerca de la libertad de expresión siendo un habitante de Venezuela representa un espacio bastante controversial y doloroso por distintas razones.

A través de todos estos últimos años quienes han seguido de cerca la situación del país tanto financiera como política podrán entender a que me estoy refiriendo.

No hace falta que entre en muchos detalles y tampoco es mi intención el hacerlo.

A través de esta publicación pretendo responder las preguntas que nos plantea nuestro amigo Eudemo para la comunidad de humanitas.

Y he tenido la intención de ponerles este contexto para poder hablarles de las respuestas que les voy a dar a continuación.

Y que así de esta forma ustedes puedan comprender y racionalizar de una manera pienso yo que más eficaz las respuestas que siguen a continuación.

¿Cómo podemos proteger la libertad de expresión en un entorno digital cada vez más polarizado y fragmentado?.

Como habitante de este país y teniendo en cuenta el anterior contexto debo decir que es una decisión muy personal.

Muchos como es el caso propio hemos decidido optar por una autocensura y en el sentido no de limitarnos en decir algo sino más bien evitar hablar acerca de esos temas.

Prueba de esto lo pueden entender en esta publicación y la manera en como con mucha gentileza y con pinzas estoy tratando el tema.

Esto es realmente una coacción a la libertad de expresión, pues evidentemente en otras condiciones yo me atrevería a expresar realmente lo que quiero decir y lo que opino acerca de toda esta situación.

Entonces tenemos aquí que una manera de proteger la libertad de expresión es dedicándose a medios expresivos como la pintura, la poesía o el humor.

Que puedan representar nuestro sentir en este entorno digital de esta manera podemos hacer llegar nuestro mensaje.

Tal es el caso de mi más reciente publicación anterior a esta, que es esta creación, este NFT que les comparto acá de mi serie perversiones.

Que lleva por título manipulación y engaño, aquí claramente en el título pueden ver como hago apología exactamente a lo que tiene que ver con el tema que trata esta publicación.

En un entorno digital cada vez más polarizado creo que el papel de las humanidades, de las artes y de las ciencias son una manera de hacer llegar estos mensajes acerca de la libertad de expresión y tener esa voluntad de poder hacerlo de esa manera.

Pasamos a la siguiente pregunta.

¿Cuál es el papel de las universidades y las instituciones culturales en la promoción de la libertad de expresión?.

Personalmente creo que las universidades y los docentes que están en la misma deben encargarse de crear ese sentimiento y ese espíritu crítico en cada uno de los estudiantes.

En lograr que esos individuos tengan esa curiosidad y esa necesidad de preguntar y de investigar cada una de las cosas.

De practicar qué beneficios y qué experiencias van a vivir expresándose libremente.

La universidad es el caldo de cultivo adecuado para promover e impulsar estas áreas, para hacer que todos estos jóvenes y que todos estos individuos, logren probar todo ese universo de posibilidades que tienen ante ellos.

Y de esta forma llegar a lo que conversaba en el anterior punto, a tener un pensamiento crítico y una mejor visión de lo que se puede abarcar y de lo que se puede hacer expresándose libremente.

Ni decir de todos los sentimientos que producen el hacerlo libremente.

¿Cómo podemos fomentar el diálogo crítico y respetuoso en un mundo donde las opiniones parecen cada vez más polarizadas?.

Utilizando un discurso gentil, elocuente y me atrevo a decir que amistoso.

De esta forma vamos a poder llegar a más personas.

No es ser guabinoso o camaleónico, sino es simplemente entender que propiciando un escenario amable y gentil.

Vamos a tener más opiniones que quizás puedan ser objetivas o neutrales o más auténticas y que no van a estar tan inclinadas o con una tendencia a ser polarizadas.

Esto desde luego es mi punto de vista.

¿Qué papel juegan las redes sociales en la defensa y la erosión de la libertad de expresión?.

Las redes sociales deben permitir que las personas digan todo lo que piensan y todo lo que sienten.

Desde luego creo que debe existir una reglamentación que permita que esto pueda ocurrir en un ambiente sano, respetable y racional.

Tomando en cuenta la respuesta que di a la pregunta anterior.

Eso sería en realidad lo más racional y lo más eficiente desde mi punto de vista.

Y creo que también prevenirla la erosión de poder expresarse libremente.

Porque como comentaba en el punto anterior, una persona que se siente a gusto en un ambiente va a estar con mayor disposición, con mayor gusto a poder decir y expresar lo que siente.

Va a estar a gusto comentando las emociones y los sentimientos que tiene o lo que piensa en relación a un tema.

Entonces vamos a tener una red social que seguramente va a estar poblada por todos estos individuos que tienen esas tantas necesidades de expresarse de una manera u otra.

En este sentido las redes sociales y los gerentes o apoderados de ellas tienen un papel sumamente importante en esto.

Yo espero que X, Facebook, Instagram y todas las otras redes sociales tengan muy en cuenta el papel tan importante que tienen en esto y lo que representan.

Y que traten de dejar por un momento a un lado sus intereses capitalistas y piensen más en que los seres humanos necesitan un medio donde se sientan a gusto para poder comunicarse y para poder hacer su vida.

Porque a fin de cuentas esto va a ser beneficioso para ellos.

Van a poder tener mayor cantidad de anunciantes y de publicidad en una red social que está repleta de personas felices dispuestas a consumir todo lo que se les ofrezca.

Mientras que si tenemos o analizamos el caso contrario hay menos probabilidad de que una red social que sea represiva, llena de posible público al que puedan hacer llegar sus mercancías sea viable.

¿Acaso blockchain puede ser una herramienta tecnológica que permita edificar alternativas para promover entornos de libre expresión digital?.

Definitivamente las blockchains son el lugar apropiado para desarrollar estas alternativas que son un caldo de cultivo para expresarse libremente.

Para poder decir lo que tu quieras para poder vaciar tus contenidos sin temor a que tus contenidos vayan a desaparecer o que venga alguien a impedir que tu publiques ese tipo de contenido.

Porque sabemos que eso no puede ocurrir, desde luego lo que puede ocurrir son otras cosas que también son formas de censura.

¿Y qué pasa actualmente acá en Hive?... porque no estamos exentos de eso, a pesar de que nadie te puede impedir que publiques o digas algo.

Si existe otra forma de censura mediante los votos negativos o downvotes y la manera de poder mutearte o ignorarte en las comunidades.

Si ellos no están de acuerdo con lo que tu expresas (o si supuestamente no cumples con los "requisitos" que ellos imponen 😀), o si no les gusta tu contenido...

Siempre queda la alternativa de publicar directamente en tu blog, donde nadie va a poder mutear tu contenido.

Pero obviamente vas a tener menor alcance.

Sin embargo haciendo un poco de lado este tema que es un razonamiento que podemos dedicar a otra publicación en otra ocasión para armar el debate 🙃, podemos decir que definitivamente las cadenas de bloque son un entorno adecuado para expresarse libremente.

¿Cómo podemos garantizar que todas las voces sean escuchadas y que nadie sea marginado?.

Obviamente este punto es difícil y yo creo que llevando y dando a conocer que existen mecanismos y que existen cadenas de bloque donde hay entornos en los que puedes llegar tus contenidos a una audiencia razonablemente interesante a nivel mundial.

Y que en estos entornos todo el mundo tiene la oportunidad de ser escuchado y que básicamente sus posibilidades mejoran y van a ir escalando a medida que vaya aprendiendo mejores formas de comunicarse y de desarrollar contenidos y formas de expresarse más elaboradas y más perfeccionadas.

De esta forma van a poder hacer llegar su mensaje y expresarse no más libremente pero si llegando libremente a mayor cantidad de personas.

Con esto respondo a las preguntas de esta iniciativa deseándoles que no tengan miedo a expresarse y que sean inteligentes y racionales para hacer llegar sus contenidos al nicho o al target que ustedes estaban buscando.

This is really a coercion of freedom of expression, because evidently in other conditions I would dare to really express what I want. say and what I think about this whole situation.

So here we have that one way to protect freedom of expression is by dedicating ourselves to expressive means such as painting, poetry or humor.

That they can represent our feelings in this digital environment in this way We can get our message across.

How can we foster critical and respectful dialogue in a world where opinions seem increasingly polarized?

Using a kind, eloquent and, dare I say, friendly speech.

We're going to have more opinions that may be objective or neutral or more authentic and that won't be so biased or have a tendency to be polarized.

What role do social media play in defending and eroding freedom of expression?

Social media should allow people to say everything they think and feel.

I certainly think there should be regulations that allow this to happen in a healthy, respectable and rational environment.

Taking into account the answer I gave to the previous question.

That would actually be the most rational and efficient thing from my point of view.

And I think it would also prevent the erosion of being able to express oneself freely.

Because as I mentioned in the previous point, a person who feels comfortable in an environment will be more willing, more happy to be able to say and express what they feel.

They will be comfortable commenting on the emotions and feelings they have or what they think in relation to a topic.

So we are going to have a social network that will surely be populated by all these individuals who have so many needs to express themselves in one way or another.

In this sense, social networks and their managers or agents have an extremely important role in this.

I hope that X, Facebook, Instagram and all the other social networks take into account the very important role they have in this and what they represent.

And that they try to put aside their capitalist interests for a moment and think more about the fact that human beings need a medium where they feel comfortable to be able to communicate and to be able to live their life.

Because at the end of the day this is going to be beneficial for them.

They will be able to have more advertisers and advertising on a social network that is full of happy people willing to consume everything that is offered to them.

Whereas if we have or analyze the opposite case, there is less probability that a social network that is repressive, full of potential audiences to whom they can deliver their goods, is viable.

Can blockchain be a technological tool that allows for building alternatives to promote environments of free digital expression?

Blockchains are definitely the appropriate place to develop these alternatives that are a breeding ground for free expression.

To be able to say what you want to be able to empty your content without fear that your content will disappear or that someone will come to prevent you from publishing that type of content.

Because we know that this cannot happen, of course what can happen are other things that are also forms of censorship.

And what is currently happening here in Hive?... because we are not exempt from that, even though no one can stop you from publishing or saying something.

If they do not agree with what you express (or if you supposedly do not meet the "requirements" that they impose 😀), or if they do not like your content...

How can we ensure that all voices are heard and that no one is marginalized?

Obviously this point is difficult and I believe that by carrying out and making known that there are mechanisms and that there are block chains where there are environments in which you can reach your content to a reasonably interesting audience worldwide.

And that in these environments everyone has the opportunity to be heard and that basically their possibilities improve and will continue to scale as they learn better ways of communicating and developing more elaborate and more perfected content and ways of expressing themselves.

In this way they will be able to get their message across and express themselves not just more freely but freely reaching a greater number of people.
