Good Tuesday evening my dear people of Hive, I hope you are super well and I welcome you once again to my art blog, today I come with a work that I decided to make with reference to the theme of nature and forest; that is why I present Cassie, The Olive Forest Creeper. Cassie is the guardian and protector of a mysterious forest known as the Olive Forest, here inhabit many species and creatures of nature in peace and harmony; all this thanks to the Presence of Cassie, who with the help of her powerful magic staff pulls the strings and control at will all the vegetation that covers the forest:
Buenas noches de martes mi querida gente de Hive, espero que estén super bien y les doy la bienvenida una vez mas a mi blog de arte, el día de hoy les vengo con una obra que decidí realizar teniendo como referencia la temática de naturaleza y de bosque; es por ello que les presento a Cassie, La Enredadera del Bosque Olivo. Cassie es la guardiana y protectora de un misterioso bosque conocido como el bosque Olivo, aquí habitan gran cantidad de especies y criaturas de la naturaleza en paz y armonía; todo esto gracias a la Presencia de Cassie, que con ayuda de su poderoso báculo mágico mueve los hilos y controlar a su antojo toda la vegetación que cubre el bosque:

My main idea for this character was to create a very young girl, with an approximate age between adolescence and adulthood, this because it would be a character with a great personality and temper; even so I also wanted to print a little confidence and tranquility in her face, because she is a person who does not get carried away easily by her emotions. The choice of colors for this drawing I decided to go towards strong and a little saturated tones, that's why I decided to color her skin with a brownish appearance; the clothing gave me a little work because I tried several shades of yellow and brown, but finally I decided for more soft greenish tones.
Mi idea principal para este personaje era la de crear una chica muy joven, con una edad aproximada entre la adolescencia y la adultes, esto pues seria un personaje con una gran personalidad y temple; aun así también quise imprimirle un poco de confianza y tranquilidad en su rostro, pues es una persona que no se deja llevar fácilmente por sus emociones. La elección de los colores para este dibujo decidí que fuera dirigida hacia las tonalidades fuertes y un poco saturadas, es por ello que decidí colorear su piel con una apariencia morena; la vestimenta me dio un poco de trabajo pues probe varias tonalidades de amarillo y marrón, pero finalmente me decidí por tonos más verdosos suaves.
I was working the skin and especially the face very carefully and using brushes a little rough when blurring and blending, I did this to try something new in this work; I created several layers, but finally I achieved a fairly smooth and slightly shiny skin. Afterwards, the painting of the eyes I decided to create it with brown tones, I thought that they would give a good contrast to the skin and above all to the hair that would be worked with very light yellow tones.
Fui trabajando la piel y sobre todo el rostro con mucho cuidado y utilizando pinceles un poco rugosos a la hora de difuminar y mezclar, esto lo hice para probar algo nuevo en esta obra; cree varias capas, pero finalmente logre una piel bastante tersa y ligeramente brillante. Posteriormente el pintado de los ojos me anime a crearlo con tonos marrones, me pareció que le darían buen contraste a la piel y sobre todo al cabello que seria trabajado con tonos amarillos muy claros.
The creation of the clothes for Cassie was one of the most extensive steps in the painting process, although I had decided the color range towards green tones, even so, I had to try several brushes because with the airbrush the texture looked a little ugly; that's why I used watercolor and little by little I added a bit of worn shape for the upper part of the suit. For the lower part of the suit I created a kind of tight mesh suit, for this I used a flat tip brush to create this fabric; then using the eraser brush with opacity at 40% I erased from the inside the dark part to get that effect like a slightly translucent lycra fabric.
La creación de la ropa para Cassie fue uno de los pasos más extensos en el proceso de pintado, a pesar de que había decidido la gama de color hacia los tonos verdes, aun así, tuve que probar varios pinceles pues con el aerógrafo la textura se veía un poco fea; es por ello que mejor usé el acuarela y poco a poco fui agregando un poco de forma desgastada para parte superior del traje. Para la parte baja del traje cree una especie de traje ajustado de malla, para esto use un pincel de punta plana para crear esta tela; luego use el pincel de borrador con opacidad a un 40% fui borrando desde adentro la parte oscura para conseguir ese efecto como de tela de licra ligeramente traslucida.
I painted the hair with open-ended brushes, and with short strokes I managed to create it in a good way; after this I only focused on creating the crown of tree branches and the magic staff, above all, and for this I created a special layer. First I was establishing what would be the bases of the wood with a very intense brown, then with the watercolor brush and square tip I was giving the wood that texture and realistic shapes with soft strokes; I also painted a kind of sphere at the tip of the staff with a tree leaf inside, with this I intended to give the idea that this is where Cassie's magical powers emanate from.
El pelo lo pinte con pinceles de puntas abiertas, y con trazos cortos logre crearlo de buena forma; después de esto solo me enfoque en crear la corona de ramas de árbol y el báculo mágico, sobre todo, y para esto cree una capa especial. Primero fui estableciendo lo que serian las bases de la madera con un marrón muy intenso, luego con el pincel acuarela y de punta cuadrada fui dándola a la madera esa textura y formas realistas con trazos suaves; también pinte una especie de esfera en la punta del bastón con una hoja de árbol dentro, con ello pretendía dar la idea que es de aquí de donde emanan los poderes mágicos de Cassie.
