What is holding you back from becoming a better version of you? What do you need to clear?
That is a word we have all heard. How much clearing have you done? How much do you need to do?
We have become a whole world of consumerism. We are driven and wired to attain and succeed. But at what cost to our souls? Why do we have such a hard time slowing down and simplifying our lives? Our intentions are there and they are good but we always fall short. Our clearing efforts seem to always snuff out. We start but do not finish. We get stuck. Why have we not learned how to care for ourselves? We have lost awareness and self-acceptance.
Our souls are yearning for simplicity. We struggle to maintain a balance, our whole beings ache for it, yet we can not seem to maintain it. There never seems to be time to juggle it all. No time to clear the things and thoughts that have caused us to feel so overwhelmed in the first place. Constantly being overwhelmed creates anxiety. We loose our oars, our rudders, our sense of direction, our sense of being grounded, our purpose in life, our whole sense of well being.
WHY CAN WE NOT LET GO
Why are we so afraid? Because all the standard and traditional approaches don't recognize nor understand any of the feelings that we feel when we clear. We feel so bad when we fall short. Linear thinking keeps us stuck. It does not understand our fight and flight response to our society. It does not understand that everything is energy. That energy affects our thoughts and emotions. That our living spaces create our thoughts and emotions. That the more clutter we carry around and the more clutter we live with, the more cluttered our souls become.
After years of personal experiences, deep pain and soul searching. I have come up with my own conclusions.
We do not put ourselves first. Without putting ourselves first the clearing will never last. You will never make a dent in reducing your stuff or your stress until you have healed the patterns that created it all in the first place. In order for clearing to take place you need to feel safe. If you do not feel safe you will never let go. All clearing is totally an inside job that begins and ends within yourself.
The first thing that has to happen is that you have to change your mindset. Clearing and decluttering is not something to "do". It is not something you "do". You do not squeeze it into your day, evening, weekend, or your life.
It's a whole new way of life - a journey. It is never about the destination, it is about the journey. A journey that doesn't always add up, make sense, or go in a straight line. Clearing is not about "getting rid of." It's about letting go of the things and thoughts that get in the way of realizing your true nature and best life. For clearing to last you need to slow down. Clearing old habits and resisting behaviors is not possible until you slow it ...way... down. In a world that is all about speed, this requires awareness. Daily doses of it.
***NOW TRY A WHOLE YEAR...................A WHOLE YEAR OF CLEARING****
Experiment with the five "S's" of clearing. SLOW DOWN, SIMPLIFY, SENSE, SURRENDER, SELF-CARE.
We need to learn how to unplug, detach, do less and in the end be so very much more. Start to identify all the triggers that keep you stuck, stuck where you can not seem to move forward. How can you bypass that fight-or-flight trigger to move to the next level.
Imagine spending the time to read the energy in your space and then experiencing how clearing one thing or thought then changes that energy in that space. As you cultivate self-care you will develop clearing habits that will work to nourish and support. Make sure you always set clear energetic boundaries. Try to develop short and long term clearing habits that will work to nourish and support you in your effort of letting go.
Expand your awareness of who you are. you will soon realize at the deepest level what you came here to be.
